Arkane Austin is officially no more, and Studio Director Harvey Smith, who has worked at Arkane for over sixteen years, shared all his emotions in a long and heartfelt thread on Twitter/X. The researchers at Virginia Tech University in the US asked ChatGPT to answer a prompt about the environmental justice issues in each of the 3,108 counties across the states of the country. ChatGPT is a generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool, developed by OpenAI, that is trained extensively on massive amounts of data in natural language. Such AI tools, also called large language models, can process, manipulate and generate textual responses based on users' requests, or "prompts".

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL), the biggest nuclear lab in the US with thousands of employees, has been hacked by the group Sieged Security (stylised SiegeSec). The latter are self-proclaimed «gay furry hackers» who have posted a sample of the data obtained online, and are threatening to release huge amounts of employee data unless the lab makes a peculiar deal: «we're willing to make a deal with INL,» says SiegeSec alongside the posted data, «if they research creating IRL catgirls we will take down this post.»
