Helldivers 2 Players Are Having A Really Hard Time Playing Solo

Now that Helldivers 2 has its server problems under control, developer Arrowhead Studios has turned its attention to more interesting additions. Ever since launch, players have had a number of requests for new features, with mechs and a faster method of transportation being the two big ones. Over the past few days, leaked footage showcased substantial gameplay of the former, and it now appears that the latter may also be coming pretty soon as well.

Helldivers 2 has plenty of weapons and firepower at your disposal to help spread democracy, but just like with every online game these days, players have been attempting to create meta builds and streamline their loadouts to ensure they're doing as much damage as possible. It's not really in the spirit of the game, especially if you're chastising other players for using weapons that may not be optimal, but there's every chance the weapons you're not using are better than they appear on paper.

fans are no strangers to innovating on the battlefield, but one player has made calling in support from Stratagems easier than ever before. After dropping down onto whatever besieged planet catches their attention, Helldivers are provided access to a range of Stratagems that involve plugging in a series of inputs for their orbiting Destroyer to send down equipment, supplies, and even deadly explosives. In the heat of battle, that process can be rather difficult, but fortunately, for some players, it just got much simpler.

This week, Helldivers 2 has seen a glut of gameplay leaks showing off officially unavailable stratagems, including of the upcoming mechs and, more recently, of a vehicle reminiscent of Halo’s famous Warthog. But what’s going on here? The community has a number of explanations.

More players of Helldivers 2 are getting what looks to be early access to combat mechs and transport vehicles in the game. These features are apparently planned for official inclusion in the suite of options for Helldivers 2 at some point in the future.

The campaign to defend a single planet, Mort, from Helldivers 2's encroaching Automaton threat saw players die "over 10 million" times in the past two days alone.

Its reputation is so brutal that fans quickly dubbed the planet "Robot Vietnam" due to its jungle environment, ridiculous difficulty, and massive population of murderous robots. It's one of the game's more popular planets, but the reputation alone wasn't enough to stop it from succumbing to the robot horde.

The new sci-fi shooter from Arrowhead Game Studios launched earlier this month, and it's already become a massive hit among fans of co-op combat. Helldivers 2 gives gamers a chance to team up to complete exciting missions while blasting alien bugs and robots, and this formula is proving quite popular so far.
