is a game with plenty of strategic possibilities, but there's one key aspect of tactics that has been misrepresented from the start. Some areas where the game can be confusing have to do with bugs present at its launch, like the armor issue that has rendered heavy armor significantly less useful than intended. On the other end, however, some information can be deliberately withheld with the intention of making the game easier to get into rather than harder.

Man, y'all really like mechs. The long-awaited Helldivers 2 mechs hit the game earlier today following the liberation of planet Tien Kwan, and it seems the community's enthusiasm has outpaced developer expectations and server limitations once again.

Arrowhead's CEO Johan Pilestedt has apologised for some spicy developer responses to players complaining about Helldivers 2's first major balancing patch, which made certain Helldivers 2 guns and equipment pieces significantly less powerful alongside other adjustments to the new shooter's armor system, maps and missions.

"As a level 50 player with the platinum trophy, I honestly hated playing this game after the update - the meta only existed because most other options needed a buff," one player posted to the Helldivers 2 subreddit, echoing a sentiment the community has been sharing since yesterday's patch.

Though some of the weapons in may be considered trash, they may not be as bad as they seem at face value. As the game has increased its player base, the weapons available to Helldivers have been placed into a community hierarchy. Though some guns may be marginally better than others, every weapon has its strengths and is viable for any mission. This flexibility, which transfers to most aspects of, has helped propel the game to success along with its chaotically fun gameplay.

A new discussion between Helldivers 2 players questions why defeating Terminid nests and Automaton fabricators has no distinct effect on how easy or difficult the extraction process becomes. Since launching on February 8, Helldivers 2 has been on a wild ride as it became so popular that developer Arrowhead Game Studios couldn't keep up with the demand. As the population blew past expectations and server capacity caps, the developers at Arrowhead released numerous patches to not only continue increasing the cap, but reduce crashes, and implement features like logging out players who had become inactive to try and save their spot without needing to log in.

As players fight tooth and nail to reclaim planets overrun by Terminids and Automatons, developer Arrowhead reveals that the intergalactic war is managed by only a single person. While the core loop involves running around alien planets and gunning down various enemies, there's a much larger scale meta-game at play that sees the community fighting to take control of several endangered planets. Given that opposing factions seemingly respond to player-led pushes, many assumed it was simply an automatic difficulty setting to make the experience more challenging.

Helldivers 2 players are running into a wide variety of cheats while playing the popular co-op shooter, including one that automatically gifts non-cheating squadmates massive amounts of Samples. This is an important form of in-game currency withinHelldivers 2 that dictates certain kinds of progression.

After the previous concurrent player capacity was raised for the busy weekend, Helldivers 2 servers are once again getting buffed to support players buying the game in droves.

It’s hard to argue against Helldivers 2 being one of the biggest releases of the year so far, far surpassing expectations. In fact, it’s gotten to the point where they have to prevent players from staying in the game for too long, by way of a new idle timer. 

Playing is going to get much easier with a new update added by Arrowhead Game Studios. The third-person shooter has been a success since its release earlier in February, mostly due to its cooperative, challenging, and occasionally chaotic multiplayer. Given the game’s popularity, however, there have been some issues and errors with , especially when it comes to logging in and waiting in line. The major problems concerning those, however, are starting to be addressed, which should make players’ access to the title a whole lot easier.
