The community has issued its own major order to help clean up the mass review bombing that the game has received recently. 's review scores plummeted on Steam following the announcement that players would have to link their accounts to the PlayStation Network to continue, something that some were reluctant to do, and also prevented entire regions from accessing the game.
With Sony reversing its decision to have compulsory account linking, OmegaXesis took to the subreddit to issue the major order "".
The order is simple, for players to consider reversing their negative Steam review. It's clear to all that, as a developer, Arrowhead's work on deserves praise, with some already praising it as being a potential Game of the Year contender for its regular updates that keep the Galactic War fresh and ongoing and the PSN account linking issue seemingly being pushed more by Sony than Arrowhead itself.
Arrowhead has announced a new Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2, called «Polar Patriots», which will bring new weapons, armor, and more to the game.
If there's one thing the community has proven, it's that it is extremely effective at working together to achieve a goal, whether this is in the game taking on Automaton and Terminid threats, or in the real world letting their voices be heard. Operation Clean Up is already gaining traction, with a follow-up post by GHQSTLY showing some of the positive reviews for, mostly addressing the fact that Sony reversed its decision and "".
There seems to be a subtext that Sony will have to do a lot more to win over players and build any trust after this whole situation, however. Many reviews point out that it was Arrowhead who had the community's back, and directly warned Sony not to try such a stunt again.
Hopefully, now the community has made itself clear, it won't have to worry about such issues going forward and can focus on fighting the in-game opponents instead. With regular updates continuing to come to the game — including the upcoming arctic-based Warbond, which launches on May 9 — there's plenty to look forward to in 's future.

Medieval Japan is no stranger to the medium; From Okami and Onimusha to Tenchu and Total War, the setting has been explored in poetic and punchy ways before. But a few popular recent games have brought renewed interest in sword saints and shinobis. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice established the ethos of a modern action game set in Japan's tumultuous past, and Ghost of Tsushima refined the open-world, action-adventure genre for a Samurai story.

Helldivers 2 players started a petition calling on developer Arrowhead Game Studios to rehire community manager Spitz. With the recent PlayStation Network account-linking controversy finally at an end, much of the Helldivers 2 community has begun to shift focus back to the Galactic War. Fans of Helldivers 2 have started a petition asking developers Arrowhead to reinstate a fired employee in charge of community management. The employee, "Spitz", was let go following the fiasco in which Sony told PC players they would need to link their Steam and PlayStation Network accounts to continue playing the shooter. Sony and Arrowhead changed their mind about that after player backlash in the form of 100,000+ negative reviews on Steam. The kicker? Community manager "Spitz" was low-key encouraging players to continue the review bombing. This doesn't seem to have gone down well internally.
