New York Comic-Con is right around the corner and for Funko Pop! fans that means one thing. New figures are coming. Starting on October 12, Funko has offered up a first look at a few of the special edition Pops that will be on sale during NYCC weekend. A Monkey D. Luffy wanted poster Pop!, and a Dark Magician Girl Yu-Gi-Oh figure. Don't despair if you won't be attending NYCC either as both Pops should be available to buy online.
If you are going to be at NYCC between October 12 and October 15, I'm assuming it'll be an 'until stocks last' situation so if you want either of these Pops, you'll want to swing by the Funko booth at your earliest available opportunity. As for buying the figures online, both figures will likely go on sale through the Funko store sometime on October 12. The listings will likely go up pretty early in the morning, and stock will sell fast, so you'll need to be quick.

This may well annoy long-time One Piece fans, but odds are the Luffy Pop! is going to be more popular than any other Funko from the series to have come before it. The first Luffy Pop! released since One Piece's adaptation hit Netflix, I'm assuming a lot more people are going to have their eye on it than would have if it had gone on sale this time last year. It features the protagonist standing in front of his own wanted poster, similar in design to the video game and VHS cover Pops Funko makes.
While Yu-Gi-Oh hasn't had a similarly significant event in its own timeline, I still wouldn't dawdle if you're keen to add its new Pop! to your collection. The series is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, so there may well be quite a bit of Yu-Gi-Oh stuff to mark the occasion at this year's NYCC. Its 25th-anniversary Dueling Heroes tin is available right now if the urge to buy something to celebrate Yu-Gi-Oh's birthday simply can't wait until October 12.
Funko clearly knew there'd be high demand for One Piece stuff after its adaptation dropped on Netflix as the NYCC Luffy Pop! is one of many figures from the manga to be revealed this month. Another nine were shown off last week, headlined by Chopperemon. Chopperemon's new Pop! and a few more will be released on October 22, while the other five will become available throughout November.

Mortal Kombat fans are already getting through the latest installment available. After Mortal Kombat 11, the development team over at NetherRealm Studios opted to do something a bit different. We’re getting a reboot with Mortal Kombat 1, where the focus is on a brand new timeline. As a result, there are several changes, such as new alliances for different characters. Fortunately, NetherRealm Studios is known for delivering new characters into the Mortal Kombat games after they release, and the same trend will continue with Mortal Kombat 1.
2023 has been really hectic for tech enthusiasts as there have been continuous launch events happening back-to-back over August, and September and they are stretching into October too. Now, Google is gearing up for its Made by Google event 2023, which is just two days away where the company will unveil a range of exciting products including the Google Pro 8 series smartphones. Check where you can catch the Google event livestream:
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to add several DLC characters in the coming weeks and months, with developer NetherRealm Studios having confirmed that the post-launch Kombat Pack will add six new fighters, one of whom will be Invincible’s Omni-Man. However, if you were hoping to see gameplay footage for the DLC fighter in the near future, well, you might be disappointed.
October is nearly upon us, meaning Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is less than three weeks away from release. As Insomniac Games drops several new details, from the many accessibility features (including the new Challenge Level Modifiers) to a partial Trophy list, it also has some new suit reveals scheduled for October 12th.
Exclusive new Spider-Man 2 suits will be revealed as part of Marvel LIVE! at New York Comic Con next month.
It's time to suspend reality and travel to the World of Darkness Universe with the Vampire The Masquerade: New York Bundle. Launched last year in digital-only format, the bundle – that pairs two games: Coteries of New York and Shadows of New York – now has its first-ever physical release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Better still, there is a limited Collector’s Edition that will be released at the same time that packs more punch than a wooden stake through the heart.
Microsoft's Sept. 21 event in New York was all about the AI, but it also included news about an updated Redmond hardware favorite, the Surface Laptop Go 3. The most affordable clamshell laptop in the Surface lineup, this is also the smallest, lightest, and most portable "true" laptop from Microsoft. (Technically, the Surface Go 3 and Surface Go 4 for Business are smaller and cheaper, but they are detachable 2-in-1s, which is to say, tablets first.)
Look out, Straw Hats. A new Netflix title has overtaken One Piece as the streamer's most-viewed title of last week: rom-com Love at First Sight.
Although the details about its price and release date are yet to be revealed, images of the very first Umbreon Funko Pop! have finally been shown off. That means every Eeveelution now has a Funko Pop! figure, or at least they will once the Umbreon one is released. To tide you over between now and when that time comes, the Flocked Glaceon Funko Pop! is once again available for pre-order.
Starting on September 19, viewers can stream the first two seasons of 1987’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) animated series. This series is set in New York City and follows the adventures of the four turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo, and their allies April O’Neil and Casey Jones as they battle various villains such as Shredder and Krang. Unlike some of the comics and other animated TMNT media, this show is strictly light-hearted in nature and aimed at children of younger ages.
