Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is right around the corner, kicking off on Friday later this week following the breaking of Pandora's Box after players dealt five trillion damage to it in just 24 hours. We already know that the next season is going to revolve around Greek mythology, but we're yet to officially find out what collaborations developer Epic Games is lining up.
There have been some rumors flying over the past couple of days though, that have been shared by several Fortnite insiders on Twitter, which are claiming that another God of War collaboration is on the way, which will bring Atreus to the island alongside the return of Kratos, as well as a crossover with the Persona series. It's worth noting right away that this info has come from someone with no track record, but has been semi-confirmed by various other insiders on social media.
First off, we have insider iFireMonkey, who claims to have seen images of these collaborations from a User Research session for Fortnite with a date attached that "matched up to a time when v29.00 was on a Fortnite server". They go on to state that while they have this information, it doesn't necessarily mean that all the details shared in these rumors are accurate.
Next, we have an insider who Persona fans will be more than familiar with, and that's Midori. Having accurately revealed titles such as Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica in the past, she's established herself as a reliable source of leaks for everything Sega and Persona. When asked whether a Persona collaboration with Fortnite is in the works, Midori says that there is, and that Epic and Sega contacted each other in 2022 and 2023 regarding potential crossovers.
With Midori weighing in, we can confidently assume that some kind of Persona collab is on the way, but the rest of the details are hard to confirm. Kratos returning with Atreus in tow would make a lot of sense, what with Chapter 5 Season 2 having a Greek theme, but just because something makes sense doesn't mean it's true. It's best to take this entire leak with a pinch of salt for now, and hopefully we'll learn more in the coming days.
