Emerald Dream Zone Preview in Patch 10.2

Several new lore books have appeared in the Emerald Dream on the PTR, about the relationship between Elune and Eonar, the nature and history of the Emerald Dream itself, and more hints that sooner or later we'll head west to the continent of Avaloren.

The new zone in Patch 10.2, the Emerald Dream, has plenty of new world events for players to partake in. In this post, we take a first look at all the new events that will be available with the patch!

Now that Patch 10.1.7: Fury Incarnate has been live for a few weeks, you may be looking for some fun toys to collect after scouring Dreamsurges for mounts and pets. Don't /sleep on the Dreamsurge Remnant and Friendsurge Defenders toys as they offer some unique effects and visuals that make them standouts in any collection. Dreamsurges Guide

One nice interaction in the Emerald Dream is the /sleep emote. If you sleep in the Emerald Dream, instead of falling asleep you project yourself out of your body and can run around as a projection leaving your body behind.

Alongside the wealth of Druid form customizations coming in Dragonflight Patch 10.2, we've found two brand new animations specifically for Boomkin models! It's not quite clear if these are actually intended for players, as there are several Druids featured within Amirdrassil and the Emerald Dream, though it seems very likely that they could. The encounter journal for the new raid Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope, has been updated in the latest Patch 10.2 PTR bulid. Check out the latest raid testing schedule here for more information. Aberrus Raid Testing Schedule

With the latest Patch 10.2 Guardians of the Dream PTR build, 6 new mounts were added. These mounts show creatures seen in the Dragon Isles and the Emerald Dream, but they're translucent! These will be obtainable from Elianna at the Central Encampment in Amirdrassil, with a new currency called Dream Infusion. It is currently unknown how to obtain this currency, but you will learn how to obtain it by reaching Renown 5 with the Dream Wardens.

Blizzard has released information regarding the two Public Events in the Emerald Dream coming in Patch 10.2, Superblooms & Emerald Bounties. Superblooms are a new major public scenario event while Emerald Bounties are a series of micro events triggered by players across the zone. Blizzard has also announced a focused testing session for Superblooms on Friday, September 22, starting at 4:00 p.m. PDT on the Iridikron PTR realm, where players can play alongside members of the WoW development team.

After many years and brief visits, players will finally be able to explore the Emerald Dream as an open-world area in Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream. The zone will be based around Amirdrassil's roots and includes many different activities, including three new public events, which are linked to one another. Plus a new world boss: Aurostor, the Hibernating is available at the zone.
