Now that Patch 10.1.7: Fury Incarnate has been live for a few weeks, you may be looking for some fun toys to collect after scouring Dreamsurges for mounts and pets. Don't /sleep on the Dreamsurge Remnant and Friendsurge Defenders toys as they offer some unique effects and visuals that make them standouts in any collection.
Dreamsurges Guide
If you can't wait for the Emerald Dream skyboxes and environments coming in Patch 10.2, then the Dreamsurge Remnant can provide you a taste of what's to come. The toy applies a green tint to the environment including the sky and adds shining green particles reminiscent of the Emerald Dream.
You can obtain the toy from the Dreamsurge vendor, Celestine of the Harvest, for 500 Dreamsurge Coalescence. After a 2-second cast, you'll receive the 30-min Half-remembered Dreamsurge that provides the enhanced visual. The toy is on a 30-min cooldown and persists through death so you can have full uptime on this unique dream visual.
One of our users, Peter91, provided a nighttime aerial view of Stormwind where you can see the particle effect more clearly. Thanks to them for the screenshot!
If you've completed a few Dreamsurges, you may have encountered the Dreamsurge Defenders buff that players can vote for that provides you defenders that reduce some of your incoming damage. The Friendsurge Defenders toy provides the same visual emerald animals that hover above you and can travel with you beyond the Dreamsurge.
On-use you'll receive the 30-min Friendsurge Defenders to summon your emerald allies which provides full up-time with the toy's 30-min cooldown. Unfortunately, the animals from Friendsurge Defenders are purely cosmetic and offer no defensive benefit, but if you wanted to keep your companions around then you can now do so.

One of the absolute boons of the new patch cadence, consisting of two minor patches in between major ones, is that there are more opportunities for Blizzard to add interesting events into World of Warcraft , which in turn helps to keep everything more lively. Two of these recent events were part of the 10.1 patch cycle. While they both provide new cosmetics, pets, mounts, and catch-up gear, the way each event functions is very different, which has affected how much I enjoy them and participate in some unexpected ways.
Blizzard has released high definition key art for Patch 10.2: Guardians of the Dream, featuring the defenders of Amirdrassil — Kalecgos, Vyranoth, Nozdormu, Tyrande, Alexstrasza, Merithra, and Ebyssian lined up and ready to defend the World Tree from Fyrakk's assault! Recently announced to launch on November 7th, Patch 10.2 will take players to the Emerald Dream, where Fyrakk has marshalled his forces to destroy the new world tree in Dragonflight Season 3! It is only a 1080p panel, which is a bit of a shame, but its RTX 4070 will run pretty much everything at that resolution. It also has an 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen CPU that sports the 780M integrated graphics. That's the same as in all the latest handhelds so it can give decent gaming performance on the go and should offer more gaming battery life than running on the RTX 4070 when away from a plug socket.
Amazon’s October Prime Day event, also known as Prime Big Deal Days, includes a vast array of video game deals, board game deals, D&D deals, and so much more.
