Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty CGI Trailer Focuses on Solomon Reed and Songbird

has always offered some special, one-of-a-kind weapons called Iconic weapons with unique names and powerful extra abilities, and the new DLC has added even more for V to enjoy collecting. Completing many of the story missions will lead V to some of the best Iconics, but there are many more to be found. Entering Dogtown for the new spy-thriller storyline of the DLC means not only are there a lot of new shady individuals to loot and a black market to explore, but there are also airdrops that often have some valuable rewards.

Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 might have made a lot of improvements to Cyberpunk 2077 but one new bug has introduced a haunted police car to Night City.

Early in the DLC's main story for, V is faced with a difficult choice without a lot of time to make a well-thought-out decision. As is often the case with much of the game, there are many decisions that have to be handled which can affect other things down the line, and particularly when trying to roleplay it can be hard to know what the right choice is. Dogtown residents Jacob and Taylor may talk tough, but whether they deserve the maximum punishment for their actions is ultimately up to the player to decide.

The story of 's DLC comes down to one pivotal choice: side with Solomon Reed, or Song «Songbird» So Mi? Reed is a Federal Intelligence Agency officer, and Songbird is a Netrunner who serves as President Myers' aide. When the President's helicopter takes a dive in Dogtown, and the President herself is trapped, both of these characters call on the mercenary V for help. However, they have a history, and Reed is convinced that letting Songbird fly is more trouble than it's worth. Reed believes that Songbird's work behind the Blackwall, a defense measure against rogue AI, is dangerous. And he's got the President on his side.

Each possible ending of 's DLC can affect what happens next in the base game. The DLC's plot revolves around V's eternal search for a cure to their neurovirus. At the beginning of, they learn that the New United States government might have a remedy, and they can gain access to it if they'll only play government agent. Their first assignment: NUSA President Rosalind Myers' spaceplane has crash-landed, with the wreckage straddling the two rival sides of Dogtown. V will need to rescue the President, and more importantly, find out who was responsible for the crash.

Cyberpunk 2077 is finally here, or at least it feels like it. CD Projekt Red seems to have done what many thought impossible and turned the ambitious RPG from a burning wreck (at launch) into something exemplary. It took nearly three years, mind you, but we're feeling the hype, and Phantom Liberty (which we hailed as Cyberpunk's Blood and Wine) isn't even out yet!

Phantom Liberty, the first and only story expansion for CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, is now available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It sees V traveling to Dogtown, where NUSA president Rosalind Myers’s shuttle has crashed. They run into NUSA sleeper agent Solomon Reed and the mysterious Songbird, with the plot taking inspiration from spy thrillers.

's main story is all about becoming a legendary edgerunner in Night City and getting Johnny Silverhand's relic out of V's head, but a distinct highlight of the game is romancing some of its key characters. Romancing Judy or Panam seem to be the most popular of the game's five options, but each have an associated storyline worth playing through even if love's not on the agenda. The release of, 's first and only expansion, has brought with it the 2.0 update and a significant overhaul to the whole game. Included in 's new story is Songbird, a major character working for the President of the New United States of America, but the DLC doesn't seem to extend any new offerings of romance.

The content in the DLC for does not take place at the end of the game, but its unique spy story questline has a very definite ending, with several options that it can take based on the player's choices. Two of these options can lead to a new outcome for V at the conclusion of as well, although the other two will simply allow the game to pick up again, as originally told prior to the release of thecontent. This thriller story is full of backstabbing and espionage, with shaky alliances that can leave players not knowing who they can trust.

Entering the new Dogtown district of 's DLC introduces V to a whole new cast of NPCs with complicated backstories that leave everyone unsure who can be trusted. The new spy-thriller narrative of the expansion is engrossing and the characters and missions that are crafted for it bring a mystery all their own with back-stabbing and espionage all around. Between the main missions for the campaign and the various side jobs that V can pick up around Dogtown, the DLC brings in a variety of personalities and backstories to explore.
