Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Can’t be Pre-loaded on PS5 Unless Purchased Separately

It took some time, but CD Projekt Red's troubled RPG finally has as much substance as it has style, in no small thanks to the recent Phantom Liberty DLC and patch 2.0.

In fact, some options can even lock players out of s true new ending, and one of these factors includes deciding to kill Solomon Reed or agreeing to his deal. This occurs extremely late in the game, but it will have a major impact on the ending, so knowing which choice is correct is important.

Early in the DLC's main story for, V is faced with a difficult choice without a lot of time to make a well-thought-out decision. As is often the case with much of the game, there are many decisions that have to be handled which can affect other things down the line, and particularly when trying to roleplay it can be hard to know what the right choice is. Dogtown residents Jacob and Taylor may talk tough, but whether they deserve the maximum punishment for their actions is ultimately up to the player to decide.

CD Projekt Red has revealed the file size for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and in terms of DLC, it's a big one. On PS5, the expansion (which releases on the 26th September) weighs in at a chunky 33GB. For context, that's over half the size of the base game, which is roughly 56GB. Put them together, and Cyberpunk 2077 will soon claim 90GB of your console's storage space.

Cyberpunk 2077's first (and last) expansion is out now on PS5. Phantom Liberty adds a whole new storyline and district to CD Projekt Red's open world RPG, and the initial reception has been incredibly positive. Of course, it helps that the base game has been significantly improved with Update 2.0 — which dropped just five days ago at the time of writing.

Cyberpunk 2077 is, finally, having its big launch moment. On Tuesday, buoyed by the 2.0 patch and expansion Phantom Liberty, the game hit its highest peak playercount since 2020. In Phantom Liberty’s Lucretia My Reflection, President Myers must be escorted to safety through the tunnels of Dogtown. After reaching a fork, there’s the chance to make progress through a room with security cameras and a steaming hot pipe. The issue is, there is no way either you or the president will walk under that pipe without burning to death. This triggers a puzzle to find a valve around the area and use it to stop the steam from flowing through the pipes. That way, you can both get around this door safely.
