Having been walled off from the rest of Night City, with zero semblance of rules or law enforcement, it's a pretty tough place to live and traverse, and CD Projekt Red recently went in-depth into the area's creation and inspirations.

CD Projekt Red finally seems to be moving on from according to a new interview. In the years following the sci-fi RPG's disastrous 2020 launch, its developers have worked to overhaul the title with many major patches that not only fixed bugs and glitches, but added completely new features such as a working Metro system, romantic hangouts across multiple apartments, car combat and more.

Cyberpunk 2077 completed a remarkable turnaround last year with the launch of Phantom Liberty and the free Update 2.0, but CD Projekt RED has continued to release patches for the game since then. From smaller updates to larger ones that bring new gameplay features, the studio has continued working on the action RPG, even though the focus of the team has now very much shifted to its sequel, Project Orion.

offers players a chance to add a little romance to V's life, with several NPCs available for a relationship. Just like in real life, the quality of these relationships can vary, with some being much more serious than others, but each has something unique to bring to the story. Over the course of the game, V can call their romantic partner to hang out – a newer change from the 2.1 update – or even come over to one of the apartments to have a little private time.

Future minor Cyberpunk 2077 updates aren't ruled out, according to Game Director Gabe Amatangelo.
