Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be released worldwide on March 21, 2024, Activision has announced.
Officially revealed in September 2022, the iOS and Android game is co-developed by Activision’s Shanghai, Beenox, Digital Legends and Solid State studios.
A limited release for the game began in Australia in November 2022, before rolling out to other countries including Chile, Norway and Sweden last year.
50 million players have pre-registered for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, according to Activision.
Its flagship 120-player battle royale mode plays out on Warzone’s classic Verdansk map, while Rebirth Island supports 48 players and Resurgence rules, which allow players to respawn as long as one of their teammates is still alive.
Warzone Mobile will also offer classic Call of Duty multiplayer action across several maps and modes. Maps will include Shipment, Shoot House and Scrapyard, while modes will include Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed and Search & Destroy, including Hardcore variants.
“Just about every element in the controls interface can be customized to your liking, including extensive HUD adjustments, detailed controller settings, and graphical options that prioritize performance, graphics, or a balanced mix,” Activision said.
Warzone Mobile supports shared progression with the console and PC versions of Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. This includes player XP, weapon level and Battle Pass progression.
“Simply log in using your Activision ID, and most content acquired in Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone is seamlessly transferred and becomes continuously available between your games,” according to Activision.
