Recently, that entailed the global launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, though the free-to-play battle royale title has seemingly not got off to quite as impressive of a start as the series’ mobile debut did.

Activision Blizzard has answered the call of mobile gamers with its latest release, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. It brings the adrenaline-fueled action of the battle royale genre right to your fingertips. Available now on both Android and iOS platforms, this iteration marks a new chapter in mobile gaming, arriving four years after the debut of the original Warzone.

According to Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile's in-game loading screen, the game's graphics will improve the longer one plays. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has been a highly anticipated release in the franchise, and the quality of the game's graphics seem to be reliant on how much time fans spend with the mobile title.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was not scheduled to go live for a couple more hours at the time of writing this. However, many users reported that the battle royale game was available to download almost 12 hours ahead of its schedule. The information was also officially confirmed by the developers. As the game is now available, users can play regular battle royale matches. However, they will still have to wait till March 22 for the first campaign of the game called Operation Day Zero.

It seems odd that Activision would release Call of Duty Warzone Mobile when it already has a hugely successful Call of Duty mobile game making millions of dollars for the company. But from a business perspective it makes sense. Call of Duty Mobile, the 2019 mobile first-person shooter spin-off that has seen 650 million downloads since launch, is developed by Tencent-owned TiMi Studio Group, and so not all the huge profits it generates benefit Activision’s bottom line. Call of Duty Warzone Mobile, on the other hand, is developed entirely in-house at Activision, and so the company gets a bigger slice of the revenue pie every time a player drops cash on a battle pass.
