Blizzard Confirms Awakened Rotation Continues Until War Within Pre-Patch

Those who have purchased The War Within Epic Edition will be rewarded with 3 additional battle pets, available to obtain once Patch 11.0, the War Within Pre-Patch, launches! Once Patch 11.0 is live, summoning Squally, the Battle Pet reward from purchasing The War Within Epic Edition, will start the quest Gryphons of a Feather, which requires us to talk to Kurdran Wildhammer in Valdrakken. Kurdran tells us that Squally is missing her friends, and so we go on a quick journey through the Dragon Isles to find the other 3 variants of Stormrooks!

A new splash screen element revealing that the Radiant Echoes pre-patch event will become available on July 30th also indicates that The War Within pre-patch will launch before that date!

In a new bluepost, Blizzard has clarified the functionality of some specific new trinkets coming in The War Within! The developers previously clarified their philosophy behind role-based trinket changes in The War Within, intending for tanks and healers to favor DPS trinkets less.

Here is a preview of the City of Threads, a new dungeon in The War Within Expansion, located in Azj-Kahet. Deep within in the City of Threads lies the Tranformatory-- a once hallowed hall of nerubian evolution. Now, this place is used to transform «worthy» nerubians into the powerful ascended. The Weaver and the Vizier will stop at nothing to see the process brought to a grinding halt, before it consumes all of Azj-Kahet.

Along with the announcement of the Mother’s Blessing Experience bonus going live, Blizzard has also confirmed that Patch 1.4.2 will also go live next week! Patch 1.4.2 will buff drop rates, make adjustments to bosses in The Pit, and fix issues with Masterworking which prevented players from upgrading !

Today's beta War Within build adds a new condition that implies players won't be able to access Heroic dungeons on Dungeon Finder until Season 1 starts. This means players will need to walk to the dungeons, similar to what is done for Mythic dungeons. Unlike past expansions, Heroic Dungeons haven't had a daily lockout, even when you walk to them, for a while.
