Batman: Arkham Knight May Be Getting New Features Soon, Judging From Some Recent Activity on Steam

Despite Apple's silence regarding its new generation of iPads, tipsters have given us a hint of what may be packed into the new iPad mini, iPad Pro, and its entry-level iPad. However, the launch date for the iPad has not yet been revealed by the company, but analysts believe that the announcement may take place this week and the event will be solely based on the upcoming iPad models. If you haven't been keeping an eye on early 2024, we'd encourage you to do so. The current release schedule is, quite frankly, absurd. In the space of just under two months, we're getting:

What are the best Batman games? Well, there a no shortage of contenders to choose from, because when you think about it Batman is the perfect video game protagonist. Bruce Wayne’s crime-fighting alter-ego excels at acrobatic hand-to-hand combat, of course, but he also has access to a wealth of high-tech gadgets and, beneath the cowl, is a detective at his core. Take all of this into account, and you have the blueprint for a decent adaptation of DC Comics’ so-called Caped Crusader.

As announced at NYCC today, a new line up of Elseworlds comics is on the way from DC with Batman and Green Lantern getting new out-of-continuity tales in 2024. Dark Knights of Steel and DC vs. Vampires are also set to get sequels. 

Gotham Knights leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium game catalog, this month. Starting October 17, all higher-tier PS Plus members can hop onto their Batcycles and ride around the streets of Gotham City, beating up all kinds of volatile criminals in the hopes of unmasking the enigmatic Court of Owls. Players can switch between Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and the Red Hood throughout the story to investigate Batman/ Bruce Wayne's death, and build out their character via a gear system. Gotham Knights wasn't nicely received at launch due to a myriad of performance issues across console and PC, in addition to having a repetitive gameplay loop. It will be available on the PS5 only.

New York Comic Con is back for another year, which means panels, cosplay, art, celebrities, and possibly a few announcements of new projects or release dates. Once again, NYCC plans to stream many of its biggest and most exciting panels this year, meaning that you can catch all the comic con action even if you’re nowhere near New York.

Since its debut on July 6, Threads has been working hard to compete with X (formerly Twitter) in the race to become the top microblogging platform. While Threads enjoyed a burst in popularity at launch, becoming the fastest-ever platform to reach 100 million users, it has somewhat died down since then. The initial surge in traffic was attributed to glaring issues on X as well as people getting fed up with several of Elon Musk's draconian measures. However, Threads still lacks several features that have made X extremely popular over the last few years.

The PS Plus Extra October 2023 games have seemingly been leaked ahead of an official announcement from Sony once again.

It’s interesting how much information is coming out about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in recent weeks, given that the title won’t launch until early next year. It’s possible that Square Enix doesn’t want you to forget about the game and thus build up the hype for many months until it’s at a “fever pitch.” Or they just think that right now is the best time to do the reveals! Either way works in the minds of gamers. The good news is that today was one of those “reveal days” because plenty of information was dropped about the title.

Microsoft has revealed the titles they’ll be adding to Xbox Game Pass on PC and consoles in early October, and this may well be the second-biggest lineup of the year (after the big Starfield drop in September). Subscribers can look forward to the likes of new Forza Motorsport, Gotham Knights, the console version of Warhammer 40K: Darktide, and more over the coming weeks.
