Armored Core 6 is a FromSoftware game first and foremost, meaning it asks its players to grind out victories against some truly powerful opponents. Those that have powered through the game's first few hours will know that there are a whole bunch of skill checks that will more than likely have caused some to put down the game for good. If you're one of those people, you may want to give Armored Core 6 another shot, as the game's latest patch has nerfed some of its most notorious boss fights.
Three boss fights in particular have been nerfed, those being Balteus, the Sea Spider, and the Coral-powered C-Weapon that you encounter in the mission Reach the Coral Convergence. The full list of patch notes, that can be found on the official Bandai Namco website, explains that certain attacks that these machines perfrom have been adjusted, and appear to be a whole lot less aggressive than they were in the game's previous state.

The nerfs to Balteus will more than likely be well received by quite a few people, what with it being the biggest skill check in the entire game. Most of the newcomers who managed to get past the game's tutorial boss were swiftly filtered out by Balteus, who sets itself up as a pretty tough challenge for even Armored Core veterans. Now that it's been nerfed slightly, it'll hopefully be a bit more managable for those of you who may have given up previously.
As for what's actually changed in each boss fight, Armored Core 6 fans have already done some sleuthing and have figured out that Balteus' missile tracking is a little worse than it was previously. It also appears that all of the Sea Spider's resistances have been reduced, and that the energy damage that the IB-01: CEL240 dishes out in its second phase has been reduced too. There might be more changes, but those are the ones that have been found so far.
On top of these nerfs, FromSoftware also seems to have buffed a number of weapons, including a selection of machine guns that felt rather flimsy in comparison to heavier weaponry like the always-reliable Zimmermans. A lot of these weapons can be obtained in the early game too, so these buffs should make those opening boss fights and missions easier.
Obviously, this hasn't made them super easy either, so you'll still have to put a shift in to take them down. Everyone else who's already beaten them, just take pride in the fact you've beaten some bosses that even FromSoftware thought should be taken down a notch.
