13 More Games Coming to PS Plus Extra, Premium This Month | Push Square

Apparently targeting a 2025 / 2026 release, the next game in Ubisoft's Ghost Recon series has been unveiled by Insider Gaming. The outlet cites anonymous sources, but its track record on all things Ubisoft is practically peerless, so we're sure there's a large degree of accuracy here.

RPG Maker is a franchise that's largely steered clear of PlayStation consoles, but that trend is set to change with the release of RPG Maker WITH. Published by NIS America, it's headed to PC and Switch at some point in the autumn / fall, while PS5 and PS4 versions are locked in for 2025.

Ubisoft’s narrative tear jerker Valiant Hearts: The Great War first debuted to critical acclaim on the PS4 almost a decade ago, but it’s taken a long time for its successor to arrive. Developed by Old Skull Games, sequel Valiant Hearts: Coming Home launched exclusively for Netflix subscribers last year. It’s now finally available for the PS4, as of 7th March.

It's been a long wait, but it looks like those recent rumours were true — Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is now officially confirmed for PC. It'll be coming to Steam and Epic Games Store on 16th May, 2024. You can see it in action in the above trailer.

Valheim publisher Coffee Stain is releasing Midnight Ghost Hunt's 1.0 update on March 21, after the chaotic co-op ghost hunter spent the last two years in Steam Early Access.

A number of PS5-bound titles will be hitting the news cycle this week thanks to a freshly announced Xbox showcase. The 'Xbox Partner Preview' takes place on the 6th March (that's this Wednesday!), and across its 30-minute runtime, you can expect to see gameplay from the likes of The First Berserker: Khazan, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and Tales of Kenzera: ZAU.

There aren't a tonne of rhythm action games on PS5 — unless you happen to have PSVR2, where the genre is doing just fine — but the well-liked indie effort, Melatonin, is right around the corner. Just announced for a PS5 port, the game is heavily inspired by Nintendo's excellent Rhythm Heaven series, which is enough to have us interested.

Another game cancelled as part of Sony’s huge layoffs this week is London Studio’s in-development fantasy co-op game. This was announced in late 2022, and was set in an alternate version of the UK’s capital, where dunk-wearing demons would face off against dragons and the like. Co-studio head Stuart Whyte described it as something “a little bit different” when it was revealed.

Not content with breaking boundaries with its incredible ongoing Negro Leagues mode, MLB The Show 24 will also introduce female ballplayers for the first time in its RPG-inspired Road to the Show. Selecting a lady will trigger a unique storyline where you’re accompanied by your childhood friend and fellow prospective superstar Mia Lewis, and will explore the “camaraderie professional players like Kelsie Whitmore have said is so important to their success on and off the field”.

Sony has quietly dropped a pretty tempting sale on the PS Store this weekend, with over 100 games plunging to seriously low prices – especially if you’re a PS Plus subscriber. The deals expand to some pretty major PS5 and PS4 games, including The Crew Motorfest for £34.99/$34.99 and Need for Speed Unbound for just £6.99/$6.99.
