A new Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator mainline build is now live, introducing emulation improvements for PlatinumGames' Bayonetta 3, which include better and more accurate visuals as well as better stability for select GPUs.
Mainline buil 1535 introduces further fixes to 3D TextureGrad emulation, which leads to improved fog rendering to match with the console's rendering and stability improvements on AMD RDNA 3 GPUs such as the Radeon RX 7600, 7700 XT, 7800 XT, 7900 XT, 7900 XTX GPUs, and others.
Despite having been released almost a year ago, Bayonetta 3's emulation was far from being perfect, as performance has been wonky and visuals far from perfect on both Yuzu and Ryujinx. With the latest builds, however, the latest game developed by PlatinumGames has become much more enjoyable on PC. You can learn more about the game by checking out Nathan's review, where he named the third entry in the series as the best one yet.
Bayonetta 3 is the series’ best entry yet, offering an engaging universe-hopping story, bombastic cinematic moments, and refined action that’s both accessible and deeper than ever before. The game can feel slightly hemmed in on the Switch, but Platinum pummels every bit of possible performance out of the hardware. Whether you and Bayonetta have history or not, this is an engagement not to be missed.
More information on the Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator can be found on its official website.
