In a recent Night City Wire stream, CD Projekt RED announced that Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.0 will be going live on September 21, while also showcasing some of the builds that players will be able to work towards courtesy of its revamped progression mechanics. But of course, the main course at the stream was the action RPG’s upcoming expansion, Phantom Liberty, and plenty of details were revealed for it as well, courtesy of Idris Elba himself, who’s playing Solomon Reed, a key character in the expansion.
In a behind-the-scenes video, Elba speaks about Reed, an NUSA secret operative who’s had a long and eventful life, which is only going to get more eventful in Phantom Liberty, and how, given his background, he’s going to be hard to figure out as a character. Whether or not you’ll trust him when you step back into the shoes of V will, of course, be your choice, though Reed is certainly looking like an interesting character.
In another behind-the-scenes video, Elba also reacts to Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty’s newest cinematic trailer, where he discusses the relationship between Reed and fellow agent Songbird, who used to be his protege- though things between them took a turn for the worse during a fateful event seven years before the beginning of the expansion.
CD Projekt RED has also offered a sneak peak of Phantom Liberty’s theme song, which is also called Phantom Liberty, and is composed by Polish musician Dawid Podsiadło. Meanwhile, during the stream, the developer also revealed two new radio stations that will be added to the game with Phantom Liberty- Dark Star Radio, where you can tune in to catch some “dark” music from around the world (including two tracks by Idris Elba himself), and Impulse Radio, a DJ set composed entirely of unreleased tracks and dance and club music by Elba.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches on September 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

's DLC is full of choices that V must make — and these decisions can ultimately affect which ending players get. In fact, some options can even lock players out of s true new ending, and one of these factors includes deciding to kill Solomon Reed or agreeing to his deal. This occurs extremely late in the game, but it will have a major impact on the ending, so knowing which choice is correct is important.
Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 might have made a lot of improvements to Cyberpunk 2077 but one new bug has introduced a haunted police car to Night City.
Developer Techland has shared a content roadmap, detailing everything coming to the open-world zombie smash ‘em up Dying Light 2.
Early in the DLC's main story for, V is faced with a difficult choice without a lot of time to make a well-thought-out decision. As is often the case with much of the game, there are many decisions that have to be handled which can affect other things down the line, and particularly when trying to roleplay it can be hard to know what the right choice is. Dogtown residents Jacob and Taylor may talk tough, but whether they deserve the maximum punishment for their actions is ultimately up to the player to decide.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty may have added an in-game tribute to a Chinese fan who sadly passed away before the DLC's release.
Phantom Liberty, the long-awaited expansion to Polish video game developer CD Projekt's flagship game "Cyberpunk 2077", received a "very positive" rating on the Steam platform that sells digital copies of games for PCs.
Phantom Liberty, the long-awaited expansion to CD Projekt's flagship game Cyberpunk 2077, will debut on Tuesday on current generation consoles and PCs.
CD Projekt have dropped the launch trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, in great news for fans of driving-combat-cutscene montages and wailing, rain-slicked theme tunes, but less great news, apparently, for mega fans of the male-presenting incarnation of player character V, voiced by Gavin Drea. I haven't touched Cyberpunk since release in 2020, and I'm sort of intrigued to discover that the female-presenting version of the protagonist, voiced by Cherami Leigh, has become the default for marketing purposes.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed the install size for Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty and noted the recent Update 2.0 is required for install.
There’s quite a bit of hype and a resurgence with Cyberpunk 2077. The video game, as you all know, had a very rocky launch. This title was filled with bugs and technical issues that even prompted Sony to remove the game completely from their PlayStation Store. So, with all these issues clearly present with the base game, CD Projekt Red was forced to scrap most of its post-launch content planned. Instead, the developers went to work to ensure the game met their standards. That took a lot of time, but we’re finally at that point where you can enjoy the game. However, tomorrow will be the official release of the only expansion CD Projekt Red is bringing to the game.
The Cyberpunk 2077 redemption is here with Phantom Liberty, and Cardy and Dale are here to tell you why you shouldn't miss it. They're joined by Matt as upcoming games Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Alan Wake 2 are delved deep into. Also, there's a little bit of sausage sandwich and cake chat so enjoy that!
