Dying Light 2 roadmap reveals crossovers with For Honor, Vampire: The Masquerade, and more

It’s time to Web-Swing. With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 out now worldwide, you may already have taken your first tour of Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Queens by web or Web Wings. Disney and developer Dlala Studios announced Disney Illusion Island in 2022, and it immediately shot up high on my list of games to play this year. It did so for several reasons – its beautifully realized visuals, top-notch voice acting, and, of course, the potential to play as some of my favorite characters in a Metroidvania-esque adventure. That wasn't all, though; The snippets of composer David Housden's score in the reveal trailer indicated this team was on to something. 

Previous crossovers in World of Warships have added ships based on Popeye and Warhammer 40,000, as well as Chuck Norris. And yet there's something particularly baffling about the addition of a cast of characters from beloved 1999 turn-based strategy classic Heroes of Might and Magic 3 specifically.

Valve is adding a new security layer for Steam developers. Any Steamworks account authorized to release builds to a publicly available application must have a phone number associated so Steam may send an SMS confirmation code before continuing. The SMS code will also be required whenever an admin account attempts to add a new user to the Steamworks partner group.

As Halloween draws closer and our thoughts turn to spookier games, we’ve stumbled across an absolute banger. Scrylight is currently up on the crowdfunding site KickStarter, and promises an augmented reality experience where you hunt ghosts instead of pocket monsters.

AI Roundup: Klarna, the Swedish fintech company, introduced a new AI-powered feature that enables users to take pictures of desired items, instantly locating them in the app. In a separate development, Google's employees have raised concerns about the Bard chatbot's effectiveness. Moreover, CCC, a cloud platform serving insurance and automotive industries, unveiled AI solutions for collision repairs, automating initial damage assessments and estimating processes, enhancing service to consumers.

With Diablo IV Season 2 just around the corner, Blizzard's developers have once again gotten together for a campfire chat to detail some of the major planned changes coming to Season of Blood. They are part of what Blizzard is calling its "five-point strategy" to "focus on addressing player feedback and making systemic improvements." You can find the full patch notes here.

It’s almost time for Sony to announce the next wave of titles coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in October. Thanks to renowned leaker bilbil-kun on Dealabs, some titles have been revealed, starting with WB Games Montreal’s Gotham Knights. The co-op action RPG recently arrived on Game Pass for Xbox and PC.
