Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes have released the final mid-season update before Season 2 of Wayfinder, titled The Reaver King. The update for the Action RPG MMO brings a trove of new content ahead of Season 2 which is expected to release later this year. Players with any Wayfinder founder’s pack can jump into The Reaver King starting today.
Windjammers 2 update adds new characters, modes and cross-play

Dotemu has released a big update for their retro revival sequel Windjammers 2, adding new playable characters, modes and full cross-play for the game.
Out now, the new Windjammers 2 update adds two new playable characters, the android Jamma GX03 which was designed to try and bring in more viewers to the fictionalised sport, and Polish circus orphan Anna Szalinski, who wants to win the cup and then get revenge on circuses that mistreat animals.
There’s a couple of important new modes for the game with tutorial Lessons that look to better teach players all the moves they need with deep dives into movement, Shots (lob, curbed, slap and drop), jumps and super shots. You can then keep your skills honed in the Practice mode against CPU with a bunch of settings and difficulty options.
The game now features full cross-play so Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Steam and Xbox gamers can all join up for online matches, while a new lobby system lets you create an online group hidden behind a password. Because of these changes the online rankings will be fully reset back to zero.
Windjammers 2 came out in the early days of 2022, a full sequel to the arcade frisbee flinging sports game coming some 28 years after the original. Was it worth the wait? In our Windjammers 2 review, Ade said, “This is the sequel that every Windjammers fan has been waiting for, a tight, gorgeous over-the-top sports game filled with arcade thrills and not an ounce of fat. That lack of poundage though can be a curse though, as while everything is here a delicious treat there’s too little to munch on in order to make Windjammers 2 an essential purchase.”
It’s been a long time coming, but considering one of his complaints was the difficulty of finding other players, this update should hopefully help with that!

Spider-Man 2 will receive a New Game+ mode as part of a post-launch update, later this year. As per Insomniac Games Community Director James Stevenson, just like the 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man, those looking to replay the title and mop up all the side quests might have to wait a bit, though for now, simply beating it once grants access to an ‘Ultimate' difficulty setting for a fresh playthrough.
