Rather than the fantasy world we were used to seeing from this talented team, we were getting tossed into the future. Neon-glittered streets and vicious gang wars thrived. Best of all, you could tweak your character with some nifty cyberware to really get the edge on your enemy. Unfortunately, while this all sounded great on paper, its execution was far from perfect.
Whether playing through for the first or thousandth time, picking the right lifepath is always an important decision. Choosing between the powerful Corpo, the free-spirited Nomad, or the sensible Street Kid doesn't have any obvious consequences for essential gameplay elements, like a character's stats or skills. However, it has the potential to affect the overall experience in ways that are easy to miss.
There are several endings available in CD Projekt Red's open-ended action RPG , influenced by both main story dialogue choices, side quests, and character romances, and they range from devastating to bittersweet. In the end, protagonist V's fate is determined by the player, with the caveat that for all but one of the endings, if V survives, they only have six months to live due to the Relic. Despite the difficulties they face, V can manage to secure a happy ending — or at least the closest thing to a happy ending that exists in the dark universe.
