Choosing between the powerful Corpo, the free-spirited Nomad, or the sensible Street Kid doesn't have any obvious consequences for essential gameplay elements, like a character's stats or skills. However, it has the potential to affect the overall experience in ways that are easy to miss.
Choosing a certain lifepath won't massively influence the gameplay of itself, but it will have an impact on the protagonist, V, and their character arc. All three options eventually lead into the same main storyline, including in the DLC, and they have no influence on any of the story's most significant aspects, such as romance options or 's various endings. Nonetheless, they each provide unique flavor to a character, with different prologues, dialogue options, and side missions — some of which can be better suited to a player's preferences over others.

As a Nomad in, V grew up in the Badlands, the arid and empty desert surrounding Night City. In the prologue, they are depicted to have originally been a part of a clan — but due to group conflicts, V has abandoned them at the start of the game's events. Now, they're hoping for a new beginning in the city. After smuggling contraband across the border with Jackie Welles, V finds themselves lost in the big city, but they're eager to make a name for themselves in their new home alongside their partner in crime.
This intro sequence is the most high-octane and disorienting of the three, and for this reason, it's actually the best option for newcomers just getting into . As the only prologue that involves combat, the Nomad lifepath offers a head start on V's gun-slinging skills (as well as a peek into the new, hostile environment, without any sugarcoating). It might seem counter-intuitive to jump directly into the action, but this actually makes it easier to grasp the ropes of Night City more effectively. This comfortable progression of knowledge will feel most natural when picking up the game for the first time.
Nomad V has unique dialogue options that reflect their extensive survival education, Badlands know-how, and inexperience with city life. These come up in many different places throughout the game, but they create some especially fascinating interactions during Panam's mission line. Payday co-creator's new cyberpunk heist FPS is "more Payday 2," less hardcore than co-op hit GTFO, and deliberately different from Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077’s Adam Smasher May Finally Live Up To His Reputation
Adam Smasher is supposed to be a near-legendary threat to Night City itself, built up through in-game and out-of-game lore. As the final boss of and a memorable character in the anime, he should have been an epic battle that players made it through by the barest of margins. Instead, he was a relative weakling and a huge letdown for players once they went toe-to-toe with him as V. After patch 2.1, however, he is much closer to the reputation that precedes him.

Cyberpunk 2077’s Final Major Update Brings Metro Service, Romantic Hangouts, Improved Bosses, More
Cyberpunk 2077 is getting the last major update before developer CD Projekt Red moves on to the next project. Dubbed ‘Update 2.1,' the patch finally brings the long-requested metro system, the ability to hang out with romantic partners, radios, and a ton of quality-of-life changes. It drops alongside the Ultimate Edition on December 5 at 4:30pm IST in India/ 12pm CET in Europe. Bear in mind that this is a free downloadable update, so it won't be included natively in the physical disc versions releasing on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. That said, the 2.0 Update released in September will be included across all versions, entirely overhauling the perk system and adding a range of tech augmentations, which weren't present in the original 2020 version.

Cyberpunk 2077’s New Metro Is Only Missing One Thing
is finally making it possible to use the metro system, and there's only one little addition that could make the feature everything that it should be. The metro has been a long-requested feature for, with a heavy focus on it in promotional material, making it seem like an obvious candidate for actual inclusion in the game. Although there are plenty of ways to get around quickly, the inclusion of a usable metro helps up the believability and immersion of Night City while offering a more hands-off method of standard travel.
