Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Features Sightseeing Binoculars, New Cyberware and More

It is always fun to be able to come across some secret, hidden side jobs and events in a game like , and there are a lot of them tucked away in different nooks and crannies of Night City and Dogtown. Developers at CD Projekt Red seem to enjoy slipping even more in with each big update to the game, enticing people to explore anew with each change to fully experience all the details that have been tweaked. The game features a lot of lore and detailed backstories of various NPCs and events, and many of these extra narratives are uncovered only through seeking out these hidden surprises.

A Cyberpunk 2077 New Game Plus mode is something that was teased several years ago, but has yet to be followed up on in any major way - the 2.0 update didn't come with NG+, and as far as we can see, there's been no major comments from CD Projekt Red regarding the feature in recent months or even years.

You could say that Cyberpunk 2077 hasn't had the easiest of rides. Perhaps after the years of hyperbole that was deserved, but what can't be denied is that CD Projekt Red re-trenched after the initial reception, stuck by the game, and has delivered consistent improvements that all led up to this year's major 2.0 update. That was supposed to be the end of it but a few days ago, surprise surprise, patch 2.1 popped up with even more improvements: and a little bit of meme history.

10 Chambers, the studio founded by Payday and Payday 2 lead Ulf Andersson, is now working on a heist shooter of its own. After finding success with hit co-op horror shooter GTFO, the studio's going back to the roots of much of its staff with Den of Wolves, a cyberpunk heist shooter coming to PC and consoles.

Releasing next week on the 5th December alongside the Ultimate Edition of Cyberpunk 2077, Update 2.1 adds and improves a whole bunch of stuff. has come a long way from its bungled launch in December 2020. The massive 2.0 update overhauled many of the game’s systems. The newest version, Update 2.1, went live today, December 5, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. While the changes may not be as drastic, the new version includes several exciting new features.

The Ultimate Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 is available today on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. However, those who own the game can download Update 2.1 for free. It’s live now, according to CD Projekt RED on Twitter.

In addition to Update 2.1 going live for all players, Cyberpunk 2077’s Ultimate Edition is out on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It’s the definitive edition and includes the base game, Phantom Liberty expansion, all updates released thus far (including Update 2.1) and digital goodies from the “My Rewards” program for $59.99.

Adam Smasher is supposed to be a near-legendary threat to Night City itself, built up through in-game and out-of-game lore. As the final boss of and a memorable character in the anime, he should have been an epic battle that players made it through by the barest of margins. Instead, he was a relative weakling and a huge letdown for players once they went toe-to-toe with him as V. After patch 2.1, however, he is much closer to the reputation that precedes him.
