Final Fantasy 7 is easily one of the most beloved entries in the long-running series, so a mobile game that covers the original story with the addition of brand-new scenes is a recipe for success. Mobile games aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, and some people don’t have devices that can run top-of-the-line titles. This is where a PC port comes in handy! For those fans who can’t play FF7 Ever Crisis on their device, either because it doesn’t support the game or it doesn’t run optimally, there’s no need to fret anymore.
Now, for the players who are enjoying FF7 Ever Crisis on their mobile device, you may be wondering if you can access your save data on the PC port. The short answer is yes! Square Enix has officially announced that your save data will be shared between your mobile and PC, allowing you to seamlessly switch your platform of choice when you want to.
Still, I’m glad that we can switch between PC and Android. It would have been pretty annoying to start from scratch on the PC client. Shared data is becoming ever more prevalent in online service games these days, and I’m here to support it!
There isn’t a release date just yet, but we do know that the FF7 Ever Crisis PC port will be available on Steam. Does this mean the game will have Steam achievements? Potentially. The only information shared by Square Enix is that we’re getting the port.
We’re expecting more announcements over the next few weeks, as Final Fantasy fans eagerly await to test out the game on PC. In defense of the mobile version, FF7 Ever Crisis looks beautiful on the smaller screen, and it will undoubtedly look fantastic on PC too.
