Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – Vincent Valentine is Voiced by Matthew Mercer

Final Fantasy XIV has updated its minisite dedicated tothe Growing Light patch series, with more from 6.51, as well as Fan Festival London reveal, Aloalo Island. The game is also launching a collaboration with colorful battle royale game Fall Guys just in time for Halloween.

During its recent Fan Festival in London, Square Enix released a new extended teaser trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy 14 expansion, Dawntrail. The trailer, which you can check out below, is 3.5 minutes long, and works to primarily showcase the tone of the expansion’s new setting.

During the recent Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival in London, producer Naoki Yoshida unveiled the first of the two new Jobs coming to the game in its upcoming expansion, Dawntrail. The Job, named Viper, will be melee DPS, and can be seen in action in a new video below.

So, if you haven’t heard, some big things are going down in Final Fantasy XIV. Not only is a new expansion coming that will help start a new story and give players even more things to do, but a new collaboration will make Square Enix fans happy. Specifically, a collaboration with the most recent entry from the beloved RPG series will happen as Clive Rosfield arrives in the game and joins the Warriors of Light! Even more specifically, there’s a questline that is called “The Path Infernal,” and it’s there that you can meet Clive and battle monsters that appear to be like Eikons. It’s no secret thatFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a massive game, but while there is a copious amount of content, fans are excited to see where the story goes next. Various trailers have showcased Zack Fair, who ventures to Midgar following the events of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7, but a familiar foe from Final Fantasy 7 Remake also appears. Not even three months ago Square Enix Game Director Naoki Yoshida took the stage at the US Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival and revealed the upcoming Dawntrail expansion. Earlier today, Day 1 of the London Fan Festival kicked off and Yoshida returned to reveal more details about the expansion.

Square Enix announced the “Viper” job, a Final Fantasy XI crossover alliance raid, and more for the Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion at Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 in London. A Final Fantasy XVI crossover for the 6.x series was also announced, and an open beta test for the Xbox Series version of Final Fantasy XIV is planned for mid-January to February 2024.

The London Final Fantasy Fan Fest has kicked off this morning with an impressive keynote speech that has finally unveiled one of the two jobs expected for the upcoming Dawntrail expansion. A few months ago during the Las Vegas Fan Fest, players around the world were teased a bit of information that there would be two new jobs added with the inclusion of the new expansion. At the time, speculations were all over the place as players came up with various theories — it didn’t help that FFXIV director Naoki Yoshida wore a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt at the time of said announcement which then prompted players to try and line up the letters like some kind of nerdy anagram. From Corsairs to Time Mages, all kinds of speculation arose. Carefully observant Warriors of Light may have noticed a tease of the potential melee job when watching the Dawntrail trailer, but it wasn’t enough detail to solidify good guesses.

Square Enix has been slowly pulling back the curtain on what fans can expect from the upcoming sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake. The original game was a masterpiece in nearly every way, and was praised for respecting the original game while expanding on all that could be done in the Midgar section of the title. With the upcoming sequel, gamers will finally see much of the rest of the planet and get new characters to help them flesh out their party and, by extension, the story. But a new rumor states that there’s already been work done on the game’s final entry.

Matthew Mercer has confirmed he's the voice actor behind Vincent Valentine in Square Enix's forthcoming Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Square Enix hosted a panel for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth at New York Comic-Con 2023 hosted by Critical Role’s Matt Mercer, in which the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth voice cast discussed their experiences voicing the game’s iconic characters. During the panel, Matt Mercer confirmed he will voice Vincent Valentine, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi appeared for a surprise question-and-answer session at the end.
