Fans and players of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League may end up waiting longer than they planned to for the game's next scheduled update. According to developer Rocksteady, the team is prioritizing testing planned fixes to make sure they're ready for deployment to the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League servers and clients.

The month of February was a “unique one” for the gaming industry as a whole. At the beginning of the month, Atlus released their big remake title to great success and acclaim. Then, yesterday, Square Enix dropped the second part of ITS remake saga and it was also met by love from fans and critics. However, not all titles within February were revered, with the big one being Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League. The title from Rocksteady had a long and winding road to release, and ever since its release, gamers have been asking the studio to fix the problems that keep popping up in it.

Rocksteady Studios has outlined several changes coming to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, particularly for its Mutators, in future patches. Unfortunately, players will have to keep waiting. In a new Developer Update, the developer confirmed there won’t be a patch next week.

Long before the Suicide Squad went on to try about killing the Justice League, it dug its own grave. The action-adventure shooter from Rocksteady was born with the burden of living up to the lofty standards set by the studio's beloved Batman: Arkham games. Then, it stepped on a rake when last year's gameplay reveal confirmed that the game would be an always-online, live service looter shooter — a departure from Rocksteady's repertoire of narrative-focussed single-player experiences. And when it finally came out in early access ahead of its February 2 release, the developers had to pull it offline due to a bug that led to full story completion just as players logged in to the game for the first time.

To say that Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League has gotten off to a rather rough start is an understatement in most gamers’ minds. While it might not have been a total “DOA” situation as some speculated it would be, there’s little doubt that it’s not what fans wanted overall, and even Warner Bros admitted that the game “didn’t meet sales expectations.” To be fair, some players enjoy the title and have been posting about it online, but those players are few and far between, and the ones who have beaten the game have noted that it’s not really a “worthy end” to a title that has been developed over several years.

Upon first impressions, I argued that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a monotonous, uninspired ordeal. The introduction to Metropolis drags along, only to feel worse thanks to messy presentation and unintuitive mechanics, though I admit the latter may be a product of my own faults. Those early thoughts still stand, as Kill the Justice League doesn’t offer an enticing first few hours. Eventually, some of those pieces improve. Others, not so much.  

Helldivers 2 has been a bit of a surprise hit for Sony and developer Arrowhead Studios. The game's landed with a genuine bang, pulling a huge number of players across PS5 and PC since its launch last week. The general consensus is that — outside of connection issues — it's a damn good time, especially if you can coax a few friends to join you in blasting overgrown bugs.

There was a moment in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League where I set down my controller, wiped the tears from my eyes, looked at my TV and said aloud, “How. Dare. You.”  I got up, took the dog outside, grabbed something to drink, and whatever else I could think to waste a little time.  I just needed a moment.  I couldn’t believe that a game about otherwise expendable prisoners being coerced into para-military service to save the world could make me both laugh and tear up during the same 15-hour campaign.  

It was always going to be a tall order for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to emerge from the shadow of the mighty Arkham series. From an architectural perspective the game has moved from Unreal Engine 3 to 4, while from an art and style perspective think more multi-coloured Marvel comics than a dark DC tome. From the bright sunshine across Gotham City and vibrant greens, reds and purples, each character and enemy stand in stark contrast to the subtle and muted tones of Rocksteady’s prior games. The same wide-open city is available to you early on, and each of the 4 playable characters have their own unique and fast means of travel. However, this presents one of our biggest issues when it comes to performance.

Some of the best weapons and gear in are Elite tools you can only get from a specific NPC. While you can upgrade pre-existing items into Elite status, you still need to have some help from a source found within the game's story. Unlocking high-tier gear and weapons will allow you to build powerful loadouts for each member of your squad.

It's been over a week since the release of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and it's safe to say that RGG Studio's latest RPG has been a hit. Its unique brand of madness (and massive marketing campaign) has allowed the game to reach people who wouldn't normally be interested in the series — and so we're very interested in hearing what everyone thinks of Ichiban's big adventure.
