Sand Land is an upcoming PS5 and PS4 RPG published by Bandai Namco and developed by ILCA (I Love Computer Art), which is how you know we're in good hands. Previous efforts include excellent turn-based titles like Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age and One Piece Odyssey, which has been eschewed here for something more action-based.

Niche fighting game sequel Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:Celes] has been given a set release date, and given how insanely busy early 2024 already is, the reveal doesn't make for pleasant reading. Previously pencilled in for a vague 'Q1 2024', In-Birth 2's dropping on the 25th January.

The Crew has always been a successful series for Ubisoft, but its latest entry is breaking records. With its arrival last week, The Crew Motorfest has sped past Ivory Tower's previous games with the series' biggest launch to date.

Capcom has provided an update on Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, a remastered collection of the second trilogy of games in the franchise. The nonsensical turn-based strategy RPG series Disgaea has always marched to the beat of its own drum. With Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, this tradition continues, for better or worse. We can't imagine new converts will be won to the cause here, but if you've stuck with the series this long, you'll likely have a Hell of a good time.

Under the Waves is a narrative driven game about grief set at the bottom of the North Sea. You follow Stan as he takes up a job working for a mysterious company, which comes complete with various benefits, like a nice little underwater base, a submarine to get around in, an oxygen tank (that’s more tank than oxygen), and the crushing terror of being below millions of gallons of water many fathoms from another living human soul. So, the standard benefits package.

Cygames hosted a special Japanese livestream for its upcoming Granblue Fantasy games earlier today, showcasing gameplay from both Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (out in November) and Granblue Fantasy: Relink (out in February). The broadcast, which lasted over an hour (and can be watched with English subtitles), starts off with Versus, detailing the fighter's new characters, certain gameplay mechanics, and the title's wonderfully daft Fall Guys-esque platforming minigame, which can be played online.

Announced during Sony's latest State of Play showcase, Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn is a full-on story-based expansion for Tales of Arise, the 2021 action RPG that we were really rather fond of. Beyond the dawn releases later this year, on the 9th November.

Mortal Kombat 1’s full character roster has leaked approximately two weeks before release, with an errant Nintendo Switch cartridge somehow finding its way into a fan’s hands. While we won’t disclose the complete list of characters here – Warner Bros is already copyright striking any mirrors that are popping up around social media – you can find a list of officially confirmed Mortal Kombat 1 fighters so far through the link, which we’ll be updating through until launch.
