Over a decade after the last installment, a new game is on its way to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. While there’s still no release date, developers have shared multiple updates on the game’s development. Recently, the team discussed rewards, customization, cosmetics, and brand partnerships.

EA’s long-awaited Skate reboot has been in the works for a while, and though it’s still unknown how long it’ll be before the game is ready for launch, developer Full Circle has done an impressive job of continuing to share new details on the game, as well as how development is progressing. The studio has now released another episode in its dev diary series “The Board Room”, this time focusing on Skate’s customization options.

cross-play and cross-progression between PC and mobile platforms has been leaked. Invites for the EA Skate mobile playtest were sent out to players earlier today and it took just a short amount of time for playtesters to break their NDA. Console cross-play and progression is expected to be included when the game launches as well.

Rollerdrome, the acclaimed (and ridiculously stylish) skater shooter from OlliOlli developer Roll7, is launching for Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass on 28th November.

Call Devolver Digital whatever you want — except a liar. The indie publisher's inaugural Devolver Delayed showcase delivered on its promise, featuring five games whose release windows have been pushed out of 2023 and into 2024. Which, of course, kind of means Devolver was lying when it initially announced these games, but let's live in the now.

Devolver Digital hosted its first-ever Devolver Delayed showcase, highlighting all of its upcoming titles that will now release in 2024 instead of this year. Perhaps the biggest delay is The Plucky Squire from All Possible Futures, an action-adventure title that transitions between 2D and 3D planes while encompassing multiple genres.

Indie publisher Devolver Digital has announced a slew of delays for some of its more anticipated titles on the horizon. Framed through a humorous parody of a Nintendo Direct, Devolver released a «Devolver Delayed Showcase» to tell players all about the games they won't be playing in 2023. The showcase highlights five games in particular: The Plucky Squire, Skate Story, Anger Foot, Stick it to the Stickman, and Pepper Grinder.

Devolver Digital has delayed Anger Foot, Pepper Grinder, The Plucky Squire, Stick it to the Stickman, and Skate Story from their previously planned 2023 release windows to 2024.

Crossovers in video games are nothing new, and at this point, they’re basically expected for certain games and genres. But most importantly, if a show, movie, comic series, or something else outside the gaming space feels that they can collaborate to bring attention to their property, they’ll do it. One such example is coming soon, as the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem arrives on August 2nd. Why is that important for gamers? Because the skateboarding video game Session Skate Sim will have a crossover with them via a free update that’s coming soon.

Skate (or Skate 4, as it's colloquially known) is currently in development, with EA inviting the community in over the past year to kick its tiny, skate-board-sized wheels on PC. This has all been going swimmingly, apparently, but EA has thrown us console warriors a lifeline; we'll get the chance to have our say on PlayStation platforms, although the timeline on that one is anybody's guess.

Electronic Arts has provided an update on its plans for Skate playtesting on consoles.

A lot of that, of course, has been down to the consistent playtesting Full Circle has been doing for the game on PC- but what about console players?

The Tony Hawk Pro skater franchise mainly dominated skateboarding video games for years. However, EA stepped in and tried their hand at the sport. The result was Skate; we’ve received three mainline installments for the IP. But we know a new game is in the works, and it will soon be available for playtesting on console platforms.
