The fan-made remake of Oblivion in Skyrim's engine, Skyblivion, has finally released a new update on development, giving fans another look at how much progress is being made at the moment. Few Skyrim mods have gotten players as hyped as Skyblivion, and any update is much appreciated by the community.

I wasn’t expecting Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion to be remastered. While Nightdive Studios updated and rereleased the PC versions of the first two games, there wasn’t a PC version of Turok 3. They didn’t have the source files, so they had to reverse-engineer the N64 version and port it over to their proprietary KEX Engine.

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion was a pretty weird game when it came out in 2000, and it’s an equally strange pick for a remaster. But it had to be done. Nightdive knew this. They knew that the N64 trilogy (if you exclude the multiplayer-focused Turok: Rage Wars) had to be completed.

If you've been eagerly awaiting Nightdive Studios' Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion remaster, you'll need to hang in there just a bit longer; the developer is delaying its release by a few weeks, with the dino FPS now coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch on 30th November.

Games at one point, and that Microsoft is planning an Xbox Series X/S refresh with a new controller for next year. Other documents point to potential remasters of Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, alongside other games.

The iconic noughties first-person shooter Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion will roar to PS5 and PS4 later this year, on 14th November, as part of an ongoing preservation effort from retro remaster specialists Nightdive Studios. The game – which first launched on Nintendo 64 almost 23 years ago – will use the latest version of the developer’s proprietary KEX Engine, meaning it’ll run in 4K at up to 120 frames-per-second, with a “higher tier of visual fidelity across 3D models, textures, and graphical effects”.

With Gamescom currently unfolding in Cologne, Germany, anxious fans are finally getting more news about one of the year’s most anticipated games.
