LEVEL-5 has postponed games showcase event LEVEL-5 Vision 2024: To the World’s Children from its previously planned April event date to sometime this summer.

Total downloads for the Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Worldwide Beta Test Demo have surpassed 500,000 worldwide, developer LEVEL-5 announced.

LEVEL-5 will release the Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Worldwide Beta Test Demo for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam to test cross-play, the developer announced. Details such as a release date will be announced at a later time.

I’ve been really excited about Fantasy Life ever since it was announced for Nintendo Switch. Fantasy Life on the Nintendo 3DS was one of my favourite games on that platform, and I played it a ton, potentially too much! The unfortunate news from the Nintendo Partner Showcase, however, was that we would need to wait until October to get our hands on the newest title in the series!

The rumor mill can slow to a halt, as Nintendo has finally announced a Direct, albeit through its external partners. On Wednesday, Nintendo will host a Partner Showcase Direct on its channels.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road has pulled up at the last minute, and that means it’ll be spending some extended time on the physio’s table before the series finally makes its PlayStation debut next year. While it always looked unlikely this one would make its previous 2023 release window, developer LEVEL-5 has now officially slapped a 2024 launch date on it.

Cool-looking action RPG Megaton Musashi: Wired has been hit with a rather unsurprising delay. The colourful mecha title, which developer Level-5 announced for PS5 and PS4 earlier this year, was meant to drop before the end of 2023 — but that's obviously no longer the case.

Update: Despite the official wording from the official Level-5 livestream, the delay to DECAPOLICE may not be quite as significant as first thought. The game's official Twitter account now claims the PS5, PS4 title has only been pushed back to 2024 instead of «post-2024», as was stated during the showcase.

Level-5’s output has been a bit inconsistent in recent years, but the Japanese developer does have some promising games in the pipeline. For instance, earlier this year, it announced DECAPOLICE, a detective RPG set in a futuristic, crime-ridden city. And though originally the game was set to launch later in 2023, Level-5 has now announced that it has been delayed.

During the Level-5 Vision 2023 II event, it was revealed that the release date will not be until 2025.

Earlier today we got an update on a bunch of Level-5 games during a livestream, including the next entry in the Professor Layton series. Professor Layton and the New World of Steam hits Nintendo Switch sometime in 2025, and a you can watch as Layton and Luke work out a puzzle in the latest trailer. 

Earlier this year, Level-5 made a strong showing at the February 2023 Direct and a subsequent showcase, with four games planned for this year. It was optimistic, but now, Level-5 is pushing those dates into 2024.

We just got our first look at Professor Layton and the New World of Steam's puzzles, but we'll be waiting quite a while to solve them ourselves. 

Regarding puzzle games, the titles featuring Professor Layton were some of the most popular games on the Nintendo DS and 3DS, and the series was one of the more popular entries in the Level-5 lineup. The games featured the good professor and his aides solving big mysteries that would perplex everyone but them. Each game had numerous puzzles to take on that covered all sorts of topics. From memory puzzles to logic conundrums and everything in between, they were a lot of fun. Professor Layton and the New World is the newest entry in the franchise in some time, and a new video highlights what’s new and what’s familiar in the tale!

The Professor Layton franchise has been dormant far too long, but fans do finally have a new mainline release to look forward to. Level-5 announced Professor Layton and the New World of Steam exclusively for the Nintendo Switch earlier this year. Now, in a new trailer, the developer has showcased fresh gameplay for the puzzle adventure title.

Level-5’s Vision 2023 2 event is coming up on November 29th, 4 AM PST, with new information on its upcoming titles. That includes Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, which launches at the end of 2024 for the Nintendo Switch. Fans can look forward to the “latest info”, per a recent tweet.

Level-5 has quite the lineup of games in store, but it’s taking some extra time for at least one of them. The studio has confirmed that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is being pushed into 2024.

Megaton Musashi: Wired is an updated version of Megaton Musashi, a mecha action RPG released in Japan on PS5 and PS4, developed by LEVEL-5. Wired will be the first opportunity for overseas markets to get their hands on the title, which comes with additional content. We got a new trailer showing off some explosive, mechanized action.

Level-5 has an enormous booth at the Tokyo Game Show this year, rivalling titans like SEGA, Konami, and Capcom. This is significant because the iconic Japanese developer hasn’t really released a noteworthy game since Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom. Admittedly, it has kept the lights on with a number of Japanese-centric titles, like Yo-Kai Watch 4, but it hasn’t been relevant in quite a while.

It’s time once again to check out a bunch of streams and showcases, as trailers abound at the Tokyo Game Show 2023. The event is being held in-person and online over the next few days, and there’s sure to be news on all kinds of games as we near the fall season.

Meanwhile, the second video showcases an entire case, as suspects are questioned, clues are gathered, and arrests are made.
