Remnant 2 launched its second DLC this week, introducing new content for the apocalyptic co-op shooter with the mysterious and powerful Polygun. This expansion continues to enrich the game's universe, particularly enhancing the mystical forest world of Yaesha. Known for its engaging boss fights and treasure trove of secrets, Remnant 2 follows the successful formula of its predecessor, Remnant: From the Ashes, further cementing the game's reputation as an engaging co-op experience on PC.

The second paid DLC for Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2, The Forgotten Kingdom, sees players returning to Yaesha to combat Lydusa, a wrathful stone spirit. There are new weapons, mods, rings and amulets to collect and bosses to tackle, but perhaps most exciting is the new Archetype – the Invoker. Arc Games and Gunfire Games have announced that Remnant 2’s next paid DLC, The Forgotten Kingdom, will launch on April 23rd. Retailing for $9.99 and included in the $24.99 DLC bundle, it sees players returning to Yaesha to investigate a lost tribe. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Gearbox Publishing and developer Gunfire Games have released a new update for survival action third-person shooter Remnant II adding cross-play support across all platforms.

Gunfire Games’Remnant 2 has finally received cross-platform multiplayer support. It allows those on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC to party together and take on the Root (and various other horrors).

Though Microsoft generally makes it a point to announce new additions to Game Pass’ ever-expanding library with as much fanfare as it can muster, the company seems to have added to solid titles to the catalog in rather understated fashion.

Payday 3 may have under-performed for The Embracer Group, but Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is doing well. Published by Gearbox Publishing on July 25th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, it’s sold over two million units and generated over SEK 700 million (over $66 million) in net sales for Q2 of the group’s fiscal year.

Gunfire Games’ first paid DLC for Remnant 2 is now available with The Awakened King. It adds a new location in Losomn, a powerful new boss, new weapons, armor, Rings and more. However, there’s also a new patch which adds some quality-of-life features and bug fixes.

The first major DLC release for Remnant 2, The Awakened King, is out now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The DLC is priced at $9.99, and is also available as part of a bundle with future DLC priced at $24.99. Two more DLC releases are planned for Remnant 2, slated for release in 2024.

Gearbox Publishing and developer Gunfire Games have teamed up with Trivium vocalist and guitarist, Matthew Kiichi Heafy to release the full version of the song Wielder of the Plague. The song was written and recorded by Heafy for Remnant 2 and its upcoming DLC, The Awakened King.

Developer Gunfire Games has revealed that the upcoming Remnant 2 DLC, The Awakened King, can be played in co-op multiplayer without all players owning the DLC. The studio stated on social media that players that don’t own the DLC can still join players that do.

The first piece of post-launch content for Remnant 2 has been announced with a release date later in the month. The Awakened King will be available for Remnant 2 players on November 14 and cost $9.99 standalone. Players can also purchase the Downloadable Content Bundle which packs all three upcoming DLCs into one package for $24.99.

Remnant 2 designer Ben Cureton has revealed a host of features coming to the game as part of its next update, which is slated for release later this week. In a post on X, Cureton has revealed that, among other things, Remnant 2 will also come with the addition of PlayStation icons for the PC version, accessibility features like toggle aim and hold sprint, and a potato mode for lower-specced computers.

Gunfire Games launched Remnant 2 several weeks ago to strong critical acclaim, selling over one million copies in less than a week. It had some issues, which the team has been handling, but there are also questions about upcoming features, like crossplay. While it wasn’t discussing the same before launch, game director David Adams has confirmed that the team is “looking at it.”

Developer Gunfire Games has announced that its most recent Soulslike-shooter Remnant 2 has sold more than a million copies. The studio announced through a press release that the game hit the sales milestone across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Though it entered early access several days earlier, Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 became available to all players on July 25th. After ranking highly in the Steam Top Sellers charts, it was expected to perform better than its predecessor on the platform. Thanks to SteamDB, it’s confirmed that the peak concurrent player count hit 110,856 just 20 hours ago.

Aside from issues on PC (with upscaling pretty much mandatory for good performance), Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is a step up from its predecessor in every way. There are some complaints among players regarding things like Trait Points, particularly the cap, which makes it tougher to fully max Traits, and respeccing costs.

Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 has done well since launching earlier this week, ranking second in Steam’s Top Seller charts. However, it’s had its share of technical issues and bugs. Developer director Ben Gabbard confirmed in an official post that fixes are coming.

Following its early access release for Ultimate Edition owners, Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is out now worldwide on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. As a sequel to the 2019 Souls-like shooter, the story takes place years after, with the Root still a major threat across several worlds.

Remnant 2 releases worldwide on July 25th, but early access is available for those who purchased the Ultimate Edition. Unfortunately, some players on PC are reporting issues with the performance. Gunfire Games provided some fixes in a new Reddit post and promised more performance updates after launch.

Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is out next week for all players, but those with the Ultimate Edition can get three days of early access. Even with that headstart, they’re in for a long ride. Principal designer Ben Cureton revealed on Twitter, “No one has seen or obtained 100% of everything #Remnant2 has to offer.”

The developers at Gunfire Games are back with  Remnant II,  and they are not wasting time getting players back into the action. When compared to Remnant: From the Ashes , this game has an overhauled UI, revamped Map/HUD, Mutators, and has rebuilt the Archetypes. There are a lot of system changes for players to dig into, but it still retains much of the gameplay feel from the first game. The retention extends to the post-apocalyptic world atmosphere ravaged by the Root. I loved returning to Ward 13 and revisiting most of the characters I met during  Remnant: From the Ashes  20 years later, and I think you will too if you are a fan of the first game or new to the Remnant universe.         

Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is coming soon, but those who purchased the Ultimate Edition gain three days of early access. With several revamps to world generation and Classes, now known as Archetypes, players can expect quite a lot at release, but what about after?
