Indie developers have contributed to a large bundle of games to raise money for Palestinian relief.

Scores of developers have included their games in a charity bundle to raise money for relief efforts in Palestine, which has raised more than $400,000 so far.

Get your hands dirty without leaving your couch with Humble’s Down on the Farm bundle. Through May 10 you can add eight eccentric farming sims to your Steam library for just $20 at Humble. If you’d like to try your hand at starting a homestead outside of Stardew Valley, this is a bundle you’ll want to check out.

Team Liquid and Raider.IO have joined forces to sponsor the Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am charity event to raise awareness and funds in support of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in gaming. This event will pit 6 Mythic+ Dungeon teams against each other in a race to see who can complete the highest key in 5 hours. The Palestinian Relief Bundle available on itch.io is offering 373 games, soundtracks, comics, and other digital goods worth over $1600 (almost £1300) for a starting donation of just $8 (around £6.50).

Independent creatives have joined together to form The Palestinian Relief Bundle - which gives you over 300 video games, tabletop games, soundtracks, and comic books for just $8 - to raise funds for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund charity.

The Palestinian Relief Bundle on Itch.io contains 373 items for a minimum cost of $8. 213 of the items are are games, including greats such as Wandersong, A Short Hike and Coffee Talk. All proceeds go towards the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), a non-profit working to provide food, water and medical treatment in Gaza.

Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) 2024 has wrapped after a nonstop weeklong speedrunning marathon. This year’s charity raised over $2.5 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Other highlights included four broken world records and a dog named Peanut Butter beating the oddball NES classic Gyromite.

Speedrunning is, from my own outsider’s perspective, an impressive effort in constantly chasing new goals. At first, runners might try to simply finish a game as fast as possible. Then, they might try to fully finish it, or complete certain objectives, or hit credits with limiters on themselves. It’s that last bucket that CarcinogenSDA’s run of Resident Evil 2 Remake at AGDQ 2024 falls under.

Peanut Butter, the speedrunning Shiba Inu, has officially beaten 1985 puzzle game Gyromite at Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) 2024.

If you tuned into Awesome Games Done Quick today, you might have seen one of the charity speedrunning event’s biggest milestones as it welcomed its first dog speedrunner. 

A shiba inu named Peanut Butter will make speedrunning history Tuesday at Awesome Games Done Quick, becoming the first dog to compete at the annual event. Peanut Butter, with the guidance of his human caregiver James, will attempt a live speedrun of 1985 NES game Gyromite.

It's once again that time of year when a bunch of dedicated gamers gather in a conference room to play through their favorite titles as quickly as possible in the name of charity. This year's Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) speedrunning marathon starts on Sunday, January 14. The week-long event is slated to last until the early hours of January 21.
