Next week’s free Epic Games Store titles have seemingly been revealed ahead of an official announcement.

Remedy has provided an update on Codename Condor, the co-operative multiplayer game set in the Control universe.

There’s a teaser image on the wall. We stare at it and we think that’s the whole multiplayer shooter set in the Control franchise. Then, Remedy sneak a second teaser image alongside some tantalising lore snippets into their latest investor report (Thanks, resetera!) Also there’s an air fryer that turns nuggets into miniature black holes, or something. I’m not sure because, honestly, I never learned to appreciate Control’s wonderful architecture and lore because the combat made me want to gnaw my fingers off. Good news, then, for everyone except me specifically. We’ve got a few more scraps of info about its (presumably) almost entirely combat focused spin-off title, currently known as ‘Condor’.

Assetto Corsa developer Kunos Simulazioni has said that the next game in the sim racing franchise will not be a spin-off like Assetto Corsa Competizione, and will instead be a proper sequel.

What’s that? There have already been too many new mega RPG releases in 2024? Well, too bad, because there’s plenty more on the horizon. A little over a month from now, Rabbit and Bear Studios’ highly anticipated Suikoden spiritual successor Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be launching for PC and consoles, but unfortunately, those who’re planning on buying a physical version of the game on the Nintendo Switch are going to have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the game than previously announced.

After being removed from Xbox Game Pass in February 2022, Remedy Entertainment‘s action-adventure game Control has returned to the service. To make things even better, subscribers will now get to experience the Ultimate Edition of the award-winning title.

Remedy’s award-winning action-adventure game Control is making a return to Xbox Game Pass, but this time it will be the Ultimate Edition that subscribers get to enjoy. The game first launched in August 2019, and within a few months of release, its developer reiterated that Control would not be coming to Xbox Game Pass. However, it did eventually make an appearance on Microsoft’s subscription service, which contributed to Control hitting the milestone of 10 million player within two years.

The recently released remake of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons reportedly struggles with performance on consoles, especially on Xbox Series S.

Xbox has announced the new games coming to Game Pass this March, including Control and day one games Lightyear Frontier and MLB The Show 24.

Milan-based Publisher 505 Games is undergoing some unfortunate downsizing, as it's announced the closure of offices in Germany, Spain, and France. This comes just a day after Remedy Entertainment announced its purchase of the full rights to Control, which 505 Games published in 2019, for 17 million euros.

Control has joined Alan Wake in being fully owned by developers Remedy Entertainment, as the studio announced they have acquired the complete rights to their supernatural shooter - including its upcoming sequel and co-op spin-off - from publisher 505 Games.

Remedy Entertainment has announced the acquisition of full rights to Control for €17 million from publisher 505 Games. The developer will handle publishing, distribution, marketing and other rights. 505 Games will continue publishing Control until December 31st, 2024, but after that, it will earn no royalties from the title.

Remedy has reacquired the rights to its hit action game Control from 505 Games.

Fantasy RPG Indivisible is now available on Xbox Game Pass. This release brings the total number of February 2024 additions to Xbox Game Pass up to 13.

Alan Wake 2, last year’s best horror game, best game overall or best-game-featuring-an-unexpected-but-extremely-welcome-musical-dance-number depending on who you ask, has shifted over a million copies. A little over thirteen months after its grand unveiling, Death Stranding 2 could be readying for another big reveal — with a new leak claiming more information on Hideo Kojima's sequel, including its full title, will be shared in the next few weeks.

It’s not controversial to say that Death Stranding is not a game for everyone, but Kojima Productions’ open world title has, nonetheless, continued to attract a healthy number of players ever since its launch in 2019. It has, in fact, crossed another major milestone on that front.

Hello Games have announced Light No Fire, the Guildford, UK-based developer's most ambitious new game since 2016's space sim No Man's Sky. We live in a time where remakes of games both old and not-so-old are quite common, and it seems another one of the latter variety is going to be announced soon.

Since launching last month, One More Level’s Ghostrunner 2 has done decently for the developer. It earned PLN 24.4 million or $6.13 million in revenue as of October 31st, roughly five days after release per Bankier.pl. Production costs for the title amount to PLN 16.7 million or $4.2 million, meaning it’s turned a profit.

With Control’s second post-launch expansion, AWE, not only did Remedy Entertainment tie Control and Alan Wake together in concrete ways, it also very directly set up Alan Wake 2 itself. Both franchises are, of course, part of the shared universe known as the Remedy Connected Universe, and Alan Wake 2 is set to continue expanding that connected universe further– to the extent, in fact, that it will set up Control 2’s story, just as Control did with the survival horror title.
