This Scarlet and Violet DLC side quest nets you 2 rare Pokémon

The fairy Pokemon Clefairy has always had a bit of magical mystery to it and is known to gather under the full moon. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are honoring this lore by adding Clefairy mass outbreaks to the game in honor of today’s full moon. In Scarlet & Violet, mass outbreaks are when you see a large number of the same Pokemon gathered in the same place, which means your chance of catching them is greatly increased.

The Pokemon Company had its first big release of 2023 via the launch of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, known as “The Teal Mask.” The content is the first part of the “Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero” content that will continue via the second part, called “The Indigo Disk.” The first part of the DLC took players to a new land full of Pokemon and mysteries. However, despite the content’s seemingly successful launch, the title is already going to get an update to fix issues. This was revealed by the game’s Japanese Twitter account, and they highlighted some of the things that would be fixed.

With over 100+ returning Pokemon to catch, the Kitakami Region is abundant with old favorites from previous generations. But, like everything else in the Pokemon series, the Teal Mask Expansion also has version exclusives. Depending on what version of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet you own, your particular DLC will include 2 bonus Pokemon not found in the alternate version. The Teal Mask Expansion for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet adds 100+ returning Pokemon, new Legendary creatures to catch, and even new forms of old Pokemon. The Kitakami Region is a massive wilderness area with plenty to explore, but progressing the story has one major drawback — the beautiful shrine at Loyalty Plaza gets destroyed. Okay, maybe that isn’t so bad, but it does lead to additional quest after completing the main story.

After completing the main story in the Teal Mask DLC, there’s still plenty of activities to complete. You can hunt down the Loyal Three Legendary Pokemon, earn 1,000,000+ cash from the Glitterati couple, or rebuild Loyalty Plaza by donating to the village chief. Or you can really test your Pokemon team by battling tough trainers called the Ogre Clan. The Ogre Clan has 8 members spread around the Kitakami Region — you can start the quest by talking to an NPC just near the stairs leading to Kitakami Hall. He’ll give you clues to each clan member location.

The arrival of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s first DLC, the Teal Mask, brings a range of new and returning Pokemon to the game. You’ll have the chance to encounter these Pokemon as you explore the region and work your way through the story. As you might expect, several of these Pokemon are shiny-locked.

A handful of new and returning Pokemon appear in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC. However, some unique Pokemon have a distinct twist in this DLC, such as Ursaluna, a Pokemon that originally appeared in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It has a new form in The Teal Mask called Bloodmoon Ursaluna, and you can find it while exploring Kitakami.

The three Legendary Pokemon of the Kitakami Region are ridiculously difficult to catch. We’ve already covered where to find the Legendary Pokemon in the Teal Mask DLC — but actually catching them is a different matter. To make this a lot easier, you’ll want a specific Pokemon with specific moves that’s both strong against Poison Type and can equip all the moves we’ll need to weaken these Legendary Pokemon as much as possible. Here are some useful tricks to finally catch Munkidori, Okidogi and Fezandipiti.

To earn loads of easy money in the Teal Mask DLC, you’ll want to complete an optional side-quest that begins in the Kitakami Region and takes you back to Paldea. This quest involves talking to a pair of rich explorers and tourists — after each encounter, they’ll give you another clue as to their next location.

Applin is a Gen 8 Pokémon that originally was introduced with two evolutionary forms, Appletun and Flapple, but in 's DLC,, Applin has a new evolutionary form, Dipplin. Despite that there are three different evolutionary forms for Applin, all three are the same Grass/Dragon type and each one requires a special item.

One exciting new aspect that comes with the release of 's DLC,, is the addition of new Pokémon, including Poltchageist who can be evolved into Sinistcha. This new Grass/Ghost Pokémon can be found in one very specific location in the Teal Mask and has two forms, each of which requires a specific item to evolve it.

The star of the Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is Ogerpon. This totally new Legendary Pokemon is exclusive to the Kitakami Region and comes equipped with a set of masks you can use to swap forms between battles, giving your Ogerpon a degree of customization. You’ll find three masks as you complete the main story and be forced to battle Ogerpon in all of its forms to finally capture it.
