I'm going to break from tight-fisted tradition by starting my discounts article with something that could not reasonably be considered a thrifty gamer purchase. That said, and despite its $549 price tag, I feel the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Collector's Edition is something most of us would want on our respective radars. If only for drooling purposes, at the very least. I can't wait to play this DLC. Am currently looking for a buyer for a few spare organs of mine, but have hit some T&Cs issues with Facebook Marketplace.
Today I'm raising a mid-morning vodka martini to the 20th birthday of Everything or Nothing, the best Bond game this side of GoldenEye 007. Considered a continuation of Die Another Day and technically the last mission of Pierce Brosnan's Bond, this third-person cover shooter boasted actual appearances from Judi Dench as M, John Cleese's Q, and, wierdly because we last saw him in 1979, Richard Kiel's Jaws. I also have very fond memories of smashing out the bespoke 2-player split-screen co-op campaign with a chum. Remaster worthy.

PikPok has released a gameplay teaser trailer and new screenshots for side-scrolling zombie shelter survival game Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days.
Thank your own personal deity—possibly Akatosh—it's Friday! Let's keep this intro brief because I'd rather earmark you mad savings rather than chew your ear off with non-essential words. If you've been waiting for a good entrypoint price for Baldur's Gate 3, today's is probably the best you'll see for a while—it's an amazing game that almost never sees a drop. My other personal picks include a sub-three-buck deal for Titanfall 2 with its surprisingly excellent FPS campaign. And that's the same absurd price range for Hotline Miami, the toe-tappingest, top-down 2D murderfest ever.
Today I'm all about bang-for-your-buck bundle deals. Because why spend heaps on a hot and current AAA when you can score a low-cost cluster of classics? A Sega Mega Drive Collection, a gaggle of Trines, three Batman games actually worth giving a damn about, every Expanded Universe Star Wars game under the sun—these are the smart plays, my friend.
If you caught our Rise of the Ronin preview content and are keen, there's a sub-level discount you'll appreciate. I've spent a good six hours with this samurai epic and can confirm that it's well worth unsheathing your wallet for—click here for a longer version of why that is. Beyond that, you should also be aware that there are cheaper than usual Mario games afoot right now. Wonder, in particular, is well worth your coins.
Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has shared a new name as his top choice to portray the iconic spy in the upcoming 007 movies.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has received the version 1.002.000 update, finally bringing the much-requested New Game+ mode, new suits for the two heroes, and a host of new quality-of-life features. The latest patch also adds the ability to replay missions, change the in-game time of day, and some handy accessibility options. The Spider-Man 2 update, however, has also brought an unintended bug. Developer Insomniac Games confirmed that the patch could grant players access to a development game menu, which could end up impacting save files and trophy progress.
Thank your own personal deity—possibly the titular Dragon's Dogma 2 dragon—it's Friday! This morning, I should like to turn your attention to a sale of some old EA-owned gold that's made its way to Steam for the first time. Chief among them for me is The Saboteur, basically a WWII GTA set in Paris. I'm also all about the dirt cheap tsunami of Command & Conquer games, too.
Today, it's time to pay not that much to score quite a heck of a lot, thanks to Humble Bundle. The tastiest component in said package has got to be Nioh 2, top action-RPG and spiritual predecessor of the imminently forthcoming Rise of the Ronin. The latter keeps all the samurai action, strips out the supernatural enemies (plus giant enemy crabs), and adds in a backpack glider not unlike the Bat-tastic one from the Arkham series. Pretty good formula so far, no?
Star Wars fans may have uncovered an interesting shared trait among 3 of the most prominent characters in the franchise at the moment. They may all be the same age despite appearing so far apart. But those making this realization for the first time might wonder how they never noticed this possibility.
If you've been holding off on taking the PS VR2 plunge, today's the day to leave crappy old crud-reality behind. 132 bucks off the headset, Sense Controllers and one helluva good showcase title for the tech is a very enticing deal. Take it from the guy who's played everything worth playing on the system—it's awesome and well worth a spot in your collection.
Welcome to another week of not paying retail for the games that matter. As per always, I've scoured the storefronts for nothing but the best in budget-minded gaming, plus the perfect preorder entry points. Wish I had time to say more, but Super Earth isn't going to super save itself. See you planetside in Helldivers 2, where I may or may not accidentally (but also democratically) delete you with an Orbital Airburst Strike.
Thank your own personal deity—possibly the God-Emperor—it's Friday! I'm going to round out the week with a crapload of triple and double packs on Xbox. I'm also seeing an unusually cheap Switch Pro Controller, and the first double-digit discount yet spotted for Shadow of the Erd Tree. If I don't see you defending Super Earth in Helldivers 2, stay safe, save often, and catch you Monday!
