With The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak receiving an official release date in the West, Falcom and NIS America have begun releasing trailers focusing on the main cast. The first is Van Arkride, the protagonist and a Spriggan operating in Edith, located in the Calvard Republic. Check it out below.
Voiced by Damien Haas (Triangle Strategy, Starfield), Van’s profession involves taking on unusual cases. Part investigator, part bounty hunter, he uses a baton called Stun-Calibur to fight. Some of his abilities can be seen below, including transforming into the mysterious Grendel for melee attacks and a Kamen Rider-esque jumping kick.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak launches on July 5th for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PC. It features a new engine, the option to switch between turn-based and real-time combat for Field Battles, an alignment system that influences story events and party members, and more. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.

Mid-March, Blizzard revealed 12 new Hero Talent Trees in a sneak peek at the new system coming with the The War Within expansion. Our Unholy Death Knight guide writer, Taeznak, offers an early review of the Rider of the Apocalypse Death Knight Hero Talents that offer strong thematic gameplay as a harbinger of death but also highlights some of the major issues with the core Unholy toolkit.
Mid-March, Blizzard revealed 12 new Hero Talent Trees in a sneak peek at the new system coming with the The War Within expansion. Our Feral Druid guide writer, Guiltyas, offers an early review of the Druid of the Claw Hero Talents, a tree that attempts and somewhat succeeds on marrying the once single spec of Feral and Guardian. The Ferocious Bite-centri spec offers some improvement over its Wildstalker counterpoint, but may require baseline Feral changes to really shine.
The developer of cozy Lord of the Rings game, Tales of the Shire, has shared another glimpse into the upcoming game and promised a "trailer coming soon."
In September last year, developer Weta Workshop and publisher Private Division announced Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game, describing it as a “heartwarming” game that will see players experiencing “a cozy Hobbit life”. Nintendo has once again shared a bit on how their sauce is made, this time for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Halo’s second season ends with the strangest episode the show has ever had. Unlike the rest of the series, which has slow-played every single one of its reveals, carefully rationing them out a crumb or two at a time, the season 2 finale threw just about every major reveal from the first Halo game at viewers in the span of less than an hour. Consequently, it was also probably the most interesting episode the show’s ever had, particularly for longtime fans of the game series.

At the end of February, Blizzard revealed 8 new Hero Talent Trees in a sneak peek at the new system coming with the The War Within expansion. Our Holy Paladin guide writer, Clarius, offers an early review of the Herald of the Sun Paladin Hero Talents that enhance the base toolkit without additional bloat or keybindings. While Herald of the Sun doesn't dramatically alter the playstyle of Holy, it's a well rounded set of talents that offer a preferred alternative to Lightsmith.
