Embark Studios releases update 2.2.0 for The Finals, adding a special variant game mode of Power Shift called Bunny Bash, balancing a variety of weapons, while also fixing many remaining bugs. Following the massive changes from the Season 2 update for The Finals, Embark has continued to release new updates on nearly a weekly basis for the online shooter.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is adding mouse and keyboard support. People with access to a compatible device and a decent internet connection are able to enjoy Xbox Cloud Gaming as long as they have a Game Pass Ultimate membership. Striking Distance Studios has revealed Project Birdseye, a roguelike spin-off of The Callisto Protocol universe. In 2022, Striking Distance Studios released The Callisto Protocol, a survival horror game. The game is set in space and centered around a man fighting through the breakout of an illness on a starship, which, in premise and tone, bore stark resemblances to Dead Space. These similarities caught the attention of fans, who were excited to see the project led by Dead Space creator Glen Schofield.

Tales Of Kenzera: Zau is an upcoming Metroidvania game that integrates the aesthetics of Afrofuturism and the culture surrounding Bantu mythology. The game aims to utilize the challenges posed by the Metroidvania format to explore themes of grief. Published by EA, Tales of Kenzera: Zau is expected to release on April 23 on PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. In December 2023 at The Game Awards, Abubakar Salim, who gamers may recognize for voicing Bayek in Assassin's Creed: Origins, unveiled that this game is being made by his company, Surgent Studios.

A May 9 release date for Crow Country has been confirmed for the PS5 and PC. Fans of horror games, especially popular franchises like Resident Evil, may want to check out this game coming to PS5. Crow Country was created by SBF Games, a British indie developer company comprised of two brothers, Tom and Adam Vian. Switch gamers may recognize SBF games for one of the system's launch titles, Snipperclips. SBF's collection of games offers variety in tone and style, and this new entry will continue the studio's tendency to offer something different.

Embark Studios’ latest season for THE FINALS is now live and lends a retro 80s theme to the proceedings. There’s a new map – SYS$HORIZON – and a new game show event in Retro Invasion 82. Players can also leverage a new Specialization, Dematerializer, which allows for materializing temporary holes, perfect for dropping Cashout Stations.
