Striking Distance Studios Reveals Spin-Off Game Set in The Callisto Protocol Universe

Pokemon GO players miss the old loading screens and are pushing for their return. Pokemon GO is a game that has evolved plenty over the course of the years. The game is nearly a decade old now, and has received a consistent stream of support, continuing now with new raids, special research adventures, and variant Pokemon being added to keep the game interesting no matter what. The game remains in the top 4 in RPGs on the iOS App Store, signaling unrelenting success in the mobile game space, though some players miss certain aspects of the game's early years.

An update on Deck Nine and Telltale games has revealed that The Wolf Among Us 2's production is stil ongoing. The Wolf Among Us 2 aims to pick up after the events of the hit 2013 release. The first game adaptation of Bill Willingham's Fables comic series used developer Telltale's increasingly successful gameplay format, where players often had to make consequential dialogue choices under varying amounts of pressure.

Gamers are able to use the service on modern phones and some smart TVs as well.

Remedy has recently shared more information about Codename Condor, its upcoming co-op Control spin-off. It was already known that the next entry in the Control franchise would be a live service title, but now Remedy shared some details about its premise and development, revealing that it will not be a free-to-play game.

Palia is now available on Steam, giving gamers a new cozy game to check out. There has been a recent influx of cozy games, becoming seemingly more popular in the current generation than any other. This newer addition, Palia, has been accessible elsewhere in the form of an open beta for some time. The community-sim MMO allows players to build a life and make friends in a vibrant fantasy world that features elements of crafting, decoration, and even romance.

Sony has finally added PC support to PlayStation VR2, but it comes with the caveat of needing to own a PS5. The PS VR2 has been one of Sony's most interesting endeavors this generation. There have been many releases that have pulled the attention of PlayStation fans open to the tech, such as Resident Evil 4: VR Mode, which some gamers believe is the best way to play the remake of one of Capcom's greatest hits. There have been obstacles adjusting to VR, though.

Striking Distance Studios, the developer behind 2022's The Callisto Protocol, has revealed what is internally called Project Birdeye, a top-down spin-off set in the same universe. A small team will continue to develop the fast-paced roguelike while the rest of the studio works on another full-scale game, and we got a brief trailer showing off some stylised action.

After channelling the atmosphere and gory terror of Dead Space (though alas, not its reception) in 2022’s sci-fi horror shooter, The Callisto Protocol is apparently now looking to the likes of Hades to inspire a new roguelike spin-off set in its universe, currently codenamed Project Birdseye.
