There are a lot of suits to unlock for Miles and Peter in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. So many that there are bound to be a few you like and a few you don't. However, one suit, in particular, has been turning heads for all the wrong reasons and appears to be universally loathed by everyone who has unlocked it. One very minor spoiler here as the suit in question is one that you unlock for Miles towards the end of the game, but no major spoilers beyond that since I'm only halfway through the game myself.
Although nothing about Spider-Man 2's story will be spoiled in this article, stop reading here if you don't want to see the suit you unlock for Miles towards the end of the game.
That means I've not unlocked the suit in question just yet, but I've been reliably informed its appearance is rather unexplained. Miles just shows up with it and calls it an original, and it seems almost everyone who has played through that part responded with "What is that?", "Eww", or "No thanks". Not a good sign for Adidas as it seems the sole reason the unpopular suit exists is so the clothing brand can sell a real-life version of it.
Not launching the new line alongside the game's launch, possibly because it would have spoiled a suit that doesn't pop up until later in the game, Spidey fans discovered the two new items in Adidas's web-slinger line earlier this week. If you want to own the closest thing to the suit in real life, then you can buy the two items through the Adidas store for a combined $100, each item priced at $50. That's a long sleeve compression top with the same pattern as the suit printed on it, and matching black leggings with an electric blue line running down each leg.
The link to the new products doesn't appear to be working right now. I'm unsure if that's because the top and leggings are sold out or if the store pages have been taken down. Even though everyone claims to hate the suit in-game, I really wouldn't be surprised to find out the products based on the suit sold out as soon as Spider-Man fans got wind of them being sold online. While their designs weren't slated like the Miles suit, Adidas's Spider-Man sneakers and matching hoodie sold out almost immediately in recent weeks.
Two weeks on from its launch, Spider-Man fans are already looking to what might be next in the series. We know that Insomniac's next project is a Wolverine game, and the team has now confirmed it will indeed take place in the same universe as its Spidey games. There's also a theory that if Spider-Man 2 gets any DLC, Daredevil might be one of its stars.
