Tekken 8 Receives Age Rating in South Korea

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has received a new update, addressing an issue with stamps causing screen flickering.

A new look at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage was given during Gamescom ONL. This presentation offered a small glimpse of Basim recounting his time in Baghdad being a street thief. 

As promised, Ubisoft shared a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a return to the classic stealth gameplay of old-school titles developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux. It sees Basim, the protagonist, venturing through Baghdad in the ninth century, taking down various targets en route to assassinating the Order of the Ancients’ members.

Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 is confirmed to appear at Gamescom Opening Night Live tonight, and with its recent age rating in South Korea, a release date could be announced. However, it seems that may have already leaked, courtesy of @ALumia_Italia on Twitter, which follows the Xbox Store’s backend.

If there’s anything that Microsoft is great at, it’s coming up with cheaper alternative ways to sell its gaming products and services. The original Xbox found a way to rip music CDs to home consoles and implement a more streamlined way to access online gaming. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 introduced the removable Hard drive, although replacing those wasn’t always easy. Not to mention, the extremely popular subscription-based Xbox Game Pass available for Xbox Series X|S.

Following its premature listing on the Epic Games Store, 505 Games confirmed that Ghostrunner 2 would release on October 26th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Pre-orders have since gone live, and a new trailer is available, highlighting some of the crazy action players can expect. Check it out below.

Dave the Diver, a deep-sea adventure RPG that rapidly became one of the best indie games of the year when it launched in June, has received a huge quality-of-life update that targets accessibility, alongside numerous bug fixes to improve the content of the game for all players. 

At this point, a release date is really all that Tekken 8 is missing. While it's widely believed that the PS5 fighting game will launch in 2024 — preferably before Evo 2024, which takes place at the end of July — Bandai Namco hasn't been dropping any hints. What's more, the current Tekken World Tour — based around the aged Tekken 7 — is ongoing, and is set to end with a finals event in January.

Wayfinder will be free-to-play when it reaches 1.0, but it costs money if you want to get involved with the early access version which launched earlier this week. That didn't dissuade players, it seems. Its launch was popular enough for its servers to fall over, leaving players unable to login, a fact for which its developers have now apologised.

The upcoming ambitious Skyrim Special Edition Apotheosis expansion mod has received a lengthy new trailer.

Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake 2 has been delayed by 10 days and will now launch on October 27 instead of October 17. 

The gaming community is already known to be an impatient lot, but it doesn’t help that developers sometimes tease games for a long period without a clue as to when they will come out. For example, Tekken 8 has been doing tests and trailer releases for new/returning characters. Still, Bandai Namco refuses to give a release date or even a window for a potential release. However, eagle-eyed fans have noted that a rating for the game from Korea could be a sign that this may change soon. After all, you can’t rate a game that isn’t near completion, right?
