Street Fighter 6 is the latest entry in the long-running story of the Street Fighter universe. Compared to the character that we know from the previous game, Akuma now has a more striking presence, complete with gray hair. The development team also used Buddha statues and animals as references for his musculature in an attempt to give the character a memorable aesthetic.
Capcom also teased 'captivating announcements on Year 2 content' and potentially 'fun events coming to the Battle Hub', both coming later this year to Street Fighter 6.
Beyond the latest entry in the studio's premiere fighting franchise, the Capcom Highlights stream also provided news on Exoprimal and Monster Hunter Stories. The former game is getting Title Update 4 on April 17. This patch will add the Time Loop Rebellion co-op challenge mode, where ten players take on the game’s final boss, the Behemoth, in an even more powerful form. Moreover, players will now be able to select Custom Match, where they'll have the chance to pick any map and mission they wish to play. Custom Match also offers a new setting called “Quick Brawl,” allowing Exofighters to choose and jump straight into their favorite final missions (including those more PvP-focused). The patch also adds six new beta variant Exosuits.
Lastly, Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin are expanding to new platforms. The first game will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on June 14. On the same day, the sequel will be released for PlayStation 4.
