Street Fighter 6 x Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Collaboration Announced, Starts in April

Two of Capcom's biggest and most popular franchises are crossing over, as Street Fighter 6 has announced an in-game event celebrating Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary. Recently, Street Fighter 6 released the first look at its fourth DLC fighter, franchise legend Akuma, who is set to join the roster sometime in the coming weeks.

Monster Hunter turned 20 this week, and Capcom is doing all sorts throughout 2024 to mark the occasion. Joining everything else Monster Hunter in 2024 is a team-up with Secretlab, its new Fatalis collection introducing a high-end gaming chair and a limited edition lumbar pillow, both given a Monster Hunter makeover.

Akuma — the younger brother of Ryu and Ken's master, Gouken — will now be coming to this spring.

Street Fighter 6 just recently welcomed Ed, and now, players are getting a new trailer about the next character coming to the game, who is actually a demon. During the Capcom Highlights showcase event, the developers dropped the teaser trailer for Akuma and said that the character would be coming to GTA 6 within time.

An unlikely cross-over is happening in Street Fighter 6, one that many didn’t see coming, and that is with Monster Hunter. However, while this mash-up seems a bit, not likely, it actually comes out after the Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Special Program. During this event, Capcom revealed that the upcoming crossover was happening.

Capcom has announced a Monster Hunter 20th anniversary collaboration for Street Fighter 6, which will allow players to adventure through the Battle Hub in Rathalos Armor and take photos in a redesigned space built for hunters. It will launch in April.
