If your holiday plans involve chillaxing and binging on a ton of video games, we have some great news for you. Now through January 4th at 1PM ET, thousands of great titles are on sale as part of Steam’s annual winter sale, including many of our favorites from the past year.
The ongoing promo offers a great chance to catch up on newer titles, including demon-slaying action RPG Diablo IV ($28 off), the terrific remake of Dead Space($36 off), and Mortal Kombat 1 ($35 off). Other titles that aren’t as discounted but still well worth a look include GOTY contender Baldur’s Gate 3 ($6 off), Cocoon ($5 off), and the delightfully charming deep sea exploration game, Dave the Diver($4 off).
There are plenty of older titles on sale, too, just in case you’ve already played all of the aforementioned 2023 hits. Cyberpunk 2077 is half off at $29.99, for instance, and the recently released Ultimate Edition is already down to just $51.04 ($39 off). The Supergiant Collection is on sale for even less at $35.63 ($94 off) — which is a banger of a deal given the superb bundle includes Hades, Bastion, Transistor, andPyre along with their respective soundtracks.
Diablo IV is the latest installment in Activision Blizzard’s dungeon-crawling series. The live service take on the Diablo franchise has a lengthy mainline story in a sidequest-filled open world, with seasonal content added over time. Read our review.
A remake of the 2008 sci-fi third-person horror shooter from Electronic Arts and Motive Studio. Isaac Clarke battles his way through the nightmarish depths of the USG Ishimura to find survivors, now with overhauled visuals and quality-of-life improvements on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. It’s also available on Xbox Game Pass. Read our review.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition includes the base game as well as CDPR’s excellent Phantom Liberty expansion, which improves the game significantly. The spy-thriller DLC introduces players to a new area of Night City, along with a host of new quests and items.
It’s no secret that we at The Verge are huge fans of Elgato’s Stream Decks, which is why we’re excited so many of them are currently on sale. Right now, for example, the Stream Deck Mini is on sale for $59.99 ($20 off) at Amazon and B&H Photo, which is one of the better prices we’ve seen this year. If you need a larger macro controller, the Stream Deck XL is also down to$189.99 ($60 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo, which is just $5 shy of its best price to date.

I’m sure we don’t have to tell you just how expensive video games can be. New AAA releases for the current generation console platforms are fetching as high as $69.99. That’s quite a bit more than what some players might be keen on spending. So, knowing what new releases are worth picking up and which is best to set aside for a discount sale is pretty crucial for our bank accounts. If you’re all for saving a buck, then we typically look at showcasing sales and discount promos when possible. For instance, we have a sale right now that we would like to showcase from Steam.
Steam’s 2023 Winter Sale went live today, December 21. Running until 1:00 PM Eastern/10:00 AM Pacific on January 4, the Steam sale offers deals on a wide range of PC games. This includes up to 95% off on some titles.
