Bethesda is restocking the most expensive edition of , which could be hinting at some major news that could rejuvenate interest in the title, like the arrival of its previously announced DLC. The $300 Constellation Edition was one of three different versions of the game available upon its launch in September 2023, with the other two being the Standard and Premium Editions.
also launched on day one as part of the PC and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. While the version included in the subscription was the standard edition of the game, those who wanted the additional content were able to upgrade to the Premium edition to get up to five days early access, a Constellation Skin Pack for the Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet, and Boost pack, a digital artbook, and the game's original soundtrack.
While the physical version of 's Premium Edition had an additional Steelbook case and a physical Constellation patch, the Constellation Edition had the most content for physical media collectors. The Constellation Edition came with all the aforementioned content included, along with a physical Credit Stick replica from the game with the digital game code laser-etched onto it instead of a standard disc, and a fully-functional smartwatch designed by the UK prop company, The Wand Company, to look like the LPV6 Chronomark Smartwatch featured in the game.
Originally, the Constellation Edition seemed like a good deal considering that most smartwatches range between $115 and $200 — with the Apple Watch costing $399 — and don't include a brand-new AAA game and its bonus content. Unfortunately, within a month of the game's release, many players were complaining that the watch was completely dead and wouldn't turn back on after being charged. Bethesda Support has issued some watch replacements, but this experience has been called frustrating due to the number of automated messages involved that had players in a loop repeating themselves.
While the watch may have looked great as a display piece, there were also complaints about its general functionality, with no touchscreen, issues connecting with Bluetooth, and very few actual smartwatch apps (with anything remotely strenuous draining the battery life extremely quickly). This essentially made it more of a digital watch that could tell its wearer what phase the moon was in than the "" it was advertised as.
Despite this, the scarcity of the item did see third-party resellers increase the price significantly after it first sold out. Therefore, it's likely that Bethesda restocking the Constellation Edition is due to seeing this initial demand and wanting the potential profit for themselves, although it's yet to be seen if the public negative feedback surrounding some of

Starfield director Todd Howard finally shares some new details regarding the game's upcoming Shattered Space story expansion, and though it looks like it's still quite a while away from release, players can also expect to see a few significant updates in the meantime. While Starfield has seen plenty of noteworthy content updates since its release in September of last year, many players — particularly those who already purchased the premium edition of the game — are still waiting on the release of its DLC before they jump back into it.
During the lengthy Kinda Funny Gamecast interview mainly focused on Fallout, Bethesda's Todd Howard revealed a big Starfield update coming this week to the Steam beta branch. The first story expansion, Shattered Space, will be released this Fall.
Wow, remember Starfield? I do, just about, although any interest in it feels like a distant dream now. But not to Todd Howard! The Bethesboss had a chat with Kinda Funny and confirmed that Shattered Space, the first big DLC for the brave little space RPG that could, has a release window of "in the fall". Shattered Space adds new locations and stories and gear, and is the sort of DLC that was announced before the game came out, and you got it bundled with some of the super mega hyper awesome pre-order editions (you can still get it bundled with the Starfield Premium Edition if you want to spend an extra 30 quid).
Bethesda fans won’t have to wait much longer before they finally get their hands on Starfield’s first expansion, Shattered Space, and there is even more content on the way, too.
Bethesda Game Studios has been promising new content and features for Starfield for a while now, and though updates for the space-faring RPG haven’t been as significant as many would have hoped, more new details have emerged on when to expect some of that. Shattered Space, for instance – which will be Starfield’s first paid expansion – has been given a narrower launch window.
It's been a while since we've had an official update on Starfield's long-awaited Shattered Space story DLC, which was first revealed even before the game launched last September. Thankfully, Starfield director Todd Howard was on hand to give us an official release window, as he recently revealed in an interview during the most recent Kinda Funny Gamescast that Shattered Space is currently scheduled to release this Fall.
In a game as big as , it stands to reason that even some of the most obvious Easter eggs would remain hidden for month after release but thanks to one eagle-eyed fan, the latest discovery is a throwback to the classic era of video games. Bethesda is known for sneaking in plenty of fun references to other titles in its massive RPGs, and while some can be quite on the nose, most are subtle nods of recognition. is no different, but to really appreciate this new find, one must be familiar with some classic hardware.
The Xbox community should prepare for May 30, as the company is removing a major feature from its devices. Xbox players have experienced several major changes across their platform over the past year, from Microsoft overhauling its rewards scheme to become Rewards with Xbox, to the company's transformation of Xbox Live Gold into Xbox Game Pass Core as part of a tiered Game Pass system.
