The latest update for Spider-Man 2 has somehow made The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit (which was already the best outfit in the game) even better.
Before Spider-Man 2 launched, one of the biggest talking points in the community was, of course, about the new suits that needed to be added to the game. Without a doubt, the most-requested suit was Andrew Garfield's costume from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which has slowly become one of the most popular live-action costumes due to its comic-book accurate look.
Although The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit is widely regarded as one of the best live-action Spidey suits of all time, the movie that accompanied it had the opposite reaction, and is currently the lowest-rated Spider-Man film on Metacritic.
Insomniac Games was clearly listening to the fans for Spider-Man 2, as one of the earlier unlocks for Peter Parker is The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit, just like everyone wanted. The "Amazing 2 suit" has already become one of the most popular choices for Peter to wear in the game, but it's somehow just been made even better out of nowhere.
As highlighted by Twitter user MSM_Access, Spider-Man 2 just received one of its first post-launch updates, which fixed a few issues like the Cuban flag appearing in Miles' apartment instead of the Puerto Rican one. According to the patch notes, the update also "addressed an issue where The Amazing 2 Suit's Spider logo appeared too bright".
That might seem like a little change, but judging on the screenshots that fans have been taking of the new Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit, it's made a huge difference. Based on MSM_Access' tweet, it looks like the suit has seen a big overhaul beyond the suit logo, and now looks like it has the proper suit textures that it had in the movie.
As great as most of the suit selection is in Spider-Man 2, it has drawn some criticism from fans who think that there are far too many outfits from the MCU in there. Don't even talk to me about the black and gold one being the final unlock.
I already thought that the Amazing 2 suit was one of the best in the game and my go-to for Peter whenever he wasn't in a story outfit, but it's hard to argue that the update has made it look a ton better. Just take a look at these photo mode screenshots from Twitter user True_Tectiva if you want more proof.
Strangely, this isn't actually the first time that the Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit has been updated for Spider-Man 2. Leaked screenshots that were shared of the game before it was launched showed the suit to be a little different to the launch version, so it looks like it's been causing Insomniac Games a little bit of trouble.
