Silent Hill: Ascension will be out in time for the spookiness of Halloween. After a recent listing on the Google Play Store spilled the beans on an October 31 launch date for the interactive streaming series, its release has now been officially announced by Genvid Entertainment and Konami.
Silent Hill: Ascension will premiere on October 31 at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT, and will be available on iOS and Android, as well as on PC (via Ascension.com). Pre-registrations for the series’ official streaming app are now available on the App Store and the Google Play Store.
Ascension is billed as an interactive series where the viewers and the community will be able to influence the outcome of the story through their collective choices- sort of like a cross between Silent Hill, Until Dawn, and Twitch Plays Pokemon.
Genvid says more details on the series will be shared in the coming days in the lead-up to its launch.
You can learn more about Silent Hill: Ascension in our interview with Jacob Navok, CEO of developer Genvid Entertainment.

Remedy Entertainment is set to deliver its first full-fledged survival horror title when Alan Wake 2 launches later this month, and there’s no shortage of excitement around the brand of horror that the acclaimed studio will deliver. Remedy has previously said that its primary focus has been on building atmosphere and slow-paced dread rather than peppering the experience with jump scares, and in a recent interview with GamingBolt, game director Kyle Rowley touched on that once more.
After a long hiatus, we’re about to experience an explosion of Silent Hill releases. From the official remake of the second game to brand-new entries, Konami’s iconic horror series is finally making a comeback. The big return for the Silent Hill franchise is upon us. Fans for the IP had waited for what felt like an eternity to get their hands on a new game. Konami had kept this franchise dormant ever since the split between Hideo Kojima and the studio. That departure resulted in Silent Hills being scrapped. But last year, we got word of Silent Hill making a massive return with several video game projects in the works. Our first game back into the IP is coming at the end of this month with the release of Silent Hill: Ascension. Today, a new premiere trailer was released, giving us more insight into the interactive series.
Genvid’s interactive streaming series Silent Hill: Ascension will have weekly episodes on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, the Bravia Core app for Bravia TVs, and Xperia app on select Xperia smartphones as part of a deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Konami’s revival of the Silent Hill franchise kicks off with a new project called Silent Hill: Ascension on Oct. 31, giving horror fans some fresh Halloween night entertainment. Genvid has released the official premiere trailer and key artwork for Silent Hill: Ascension, as well as announced its partnership with Sony Picture Entertainment to carry weekly packaged episodes of the audience-influenced storylines on the Sony Pictures Core app for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Bravia Core app for Bravia TVs, and Bravia Core for Xperia app on select Xperia smartphones.
Silent Hill Ascension will premiere on Halloween, aka October 31st, at 9pm ET/6pm PT, Konami has confirmed. For UK folks, that is 1am GMT on November 1st. The first episode of the live series, where the audience determine the story and the canon of the Silent Hill franchise, will mark the beginning of a six month journey with a new episode dropping every day.
There are currently three Silent Hill games we know about in the works. There's Bloober Team's remake of Silent Hill 2, a prequel set in Japan called Silent Hill F, and No Code's Silent Hill: Townfall. But there's also a game-adjacent project called Silent Hill: Ascension being made by Genvid Entertainment, an interactive streaming series where viewers can vote to decide how parts of the story turn out.
“Where the hell is the Silent Hill 2 remake?” is a question many of us have asked in recent months, with updates on the survival horror title having dried up entirely since its announcement a year ago. It seems, however, that Konami and developer Bloober Team may be planning another look at the game in the near future.
