Enhance and tha ltd. have announced that their puzzle platformer Humanity will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on 30th May. The game will also be available via Xbox Game Pass for both console and Windows PC.
Humanity is a rather strange game, casting you as a glowing Shiba Inu, tasked with leading hordes of humans through abstract levels, solving puzzles that include turning, pushing, floating, wild jumps, battles with dark humans, and lasers.
There’s over 90 stages in the main story mode, but that has expanded massively since the game’s original release with the in-game stage creator enabling the community to create over 9,000 stages – these have then been curated into playlists, and all will be available to the new platforms next month.
One of the main things that Xbox gamers will miss out on is the option to play in VR – Enhance has been all-in on VR gaming since the release of Rez Infinite for PSVR back in 2016. While far from essential, the original release was both flat screen and in VR, supporting PS5, PC (via Steam), Meta Quest and SteamVR.
In our Humanity review, Tuff said, “A pleasantly stress free puzzle game with a weird story and boss battles to boot. The level editor ensures there will always be something new to tax your brain, and it’s a good addition to the PSVR 2 library as well.”
