Eight games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15, including Norco, one of the service's highest-rated titles. It's always sad whenever games are removed from the Xbox Game Pass lineup, but the good news is new games are added on a regular basis as well. In fact, Microsoft just recently pulled the curtain back on four games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass as part of the May 2024 lineup.
As confirmed by Microsoft, the new Xbox Game Pass games for May 2024 include Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on May 2, Kona 2: Brume on May 7, Little Kitty, Big City on May 9, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons on May 14. Previous release date announcements have also clued fans in on Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 coming May 21 and Hauntii coming May 23. There will be even more games coming to Xbox Game Pass in May 2024 beyond the ones that were recently announced, but some games will be leaving the service as well.
May 15 will be the last day that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play Eastern Exorcist, Eiyuden Chronicle Rising, Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, Ghostlore, Just Cause 4 Reloaded, Norco, SD Gundam Battle Alliance, and Supraland: Six Inches Under with their subscription. As always, the games are available at a 20% discount while they are still on Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers are encouraged to try out the departing titles and potentially buy them to keep if they're impressed. Out of all the games leaving Xbox Game Pass in May 2024, Norco is one that subscribers may want to prioritize over the others.
Norco is a point-and-click adventure game that was originally released in 2022. Norco earned rave reviews at launch, with a great deal of praise aimed at its writing, story, characters, and unique art style. Norco was one of the highest-rated games released in all of 2022, with an impressive 90 overall rating, in turn making it one of the highest-rated video games currently available on Xbox Game Pass. Needless to say, that makes its departure sting even more. The good news is that Norco is fairly short, and so anyone interested in beating it before it's removed should have plenty of time to do so.
While Norco may be the highest-rated game leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15, it's not the only critically-acclaimed title getting the boot. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 also earned high marks when it released in 2023, and so it deserves a look before May 15 as well.
