Tokyo Game Show is happening right now, and in case you missed it, Sony is celebrating with a new sale on the PS Store. As you'd expect, the offer comprises almost exclusively games made in Japan, though there are one or two outliers. Anyway, there are a lot of fantastic titles included here for both PS5 and PS4.

NIS America has announced it's remastering the Nintendo 3DS RPG The Legend of Legacy for PS5 and PS4, with a view to release the enhanced version early next year. Catch the trailer above to see it in action. Details covering how the RPG will run better on Sony's consoles or any resolution upgrades haven't been shared.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an asymmetric multiplayer horror title based on the iconic IP of the same name, and apparently, it's something of a hit. Developed by Sumo Nottingham and published by Gun Interactive, the game's official Twitter showed off its impressive body count, more than four million across all platforms, and said: "That's a whole lot of BBQ".

Limited Run Games has revealed it'll be putting out physical versions of both Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on PS4, with pre-orders available soon. Persona 3 Portable will be treated to three different versions, ranging from the standalone game to a $199.999 priced S.E.E.S. Edition that bundles in a 1:1 replica of the Evoker weapon, an armband, trading cards, and much more. Pre-orders open via Limited Run Games this Friday and will be until 12th November.

In the opening hall of the Makuhari Messe this Tokyo Game Show was an enormous, monolithic tribute to HoYoverse, a company fast becoming one of PlayStation’s most important developers. While the juggernaut Chinese studio may not get the same recognition as the likes of Naughty Dog or FromSoftware, its games are absolutely colossal in scale – and to underline our point, the company is registering greater profit margins than the entirety of Sony’s gaming division right now.

Product pages on the PS Store have been given a refresh as Sony has implemented a new five-star rating system users can engage with. It's not entirely clear when this feature went live as it's only been spotted in the past 12 hours, but you can now attach a rating to the PS5, PS4 games you own.

Update: A PR rep for Resolution Games has reached out to us regarding the upgrade path for Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs. Those that already own the game on PSVR can upgrade to the PSVR2 version for a fee of $9.99.

In case you missed the memo, Marvel's Avengers is leaving storefronts at the end of September. Square Enix's live service-centred superhero action game will be no more after about three years on the market, leaving PS Store on 30th September 2023 (though you can still play it after this date). However, as spotted by GamesRadar, you can at least check the game out in its final weeks on sale for a seriously reduced price.

An absolutely enormous PS Store sale has plunged the price of some of the PS5 and PS4’s most popular games, with high profile titles like Resident Evil 4 and Hogwarts Legacy enjoying their biggest digital discounts yet. The former, for example, can be purchased for just £31.34/$x.xx, while the latter’s Digital Deluxe Edition is down to £52.49/$x.xx.

Sony has today announced the full list of PS5, PS4, and Classic games coming to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium this month. A partial selection was leaked at the start of this week, but the complete lineup is significantly larger. This is also the first title refresh since Sony increased the price of both tiers, putting the company's picks under more scrutiny.

SEGA and RGG Studio — developer of the Like a Dragon series — have announced the date for another RGG Summit presentation. If you're itching to see more about Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you may want to tune in on 20th September.

As we already know, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a PS5 exclusive, and we had assumed that, like its predecessor, it would remain as such for a full 12 months — or thereabouts. But as it turns out, Rebirth could be finding its way to additional platforms much sooner.
